Bułka — Restaurant in Toruń

Stepping into Bułka in Toruń, I immediately knew I was in for a treat. The place was buzzing with locals and visitors alike, with people already enjoying their morning coffee and breakfast both inside and on the charming outdoor patio. I managed to snag a seat at the window bar and settled in for a fantastic meal.

I ordered the traditional Polish breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious—a perfect, hearty start to the day. My dad opted for the traditional German breakfast, and it looked just as amazing.

Beyond the food, Bułka also serves up some incredible specialty coffee. My flat white was expertly made and was the perfect companion to my meal.

I am sure this place is awesome, especially the breakfast but the burgers we had, were a total failure unfortunately. Lacking enough sauce but the worst was the meat. I was assuming it would be at least somewhat medium hence juicy. But no, the meat was so long fried, it was dry and dark as hell so the patties immediately fell apart. Maybe the staff was overwhelmed with our Orders since we were 6 adults and three kids. Nevertheless, we basically were the only guests at that time.

In conclusion, I would give the burgers another try but this time, sorry, that was a zero. The loaded fries were according to expectation and ok.

There's a good reason why this place is among the most popular restaurants in the old town - the food is really good. You can expect to meet more guests from abroad, which may be correlated with the prices, which are quite high for Toruń standards.

Lately the have became a victim of their own success - the place is really crowded, and consequently the service is visbly tired, and food quality suffered lately. This is the only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars.

Fortunately they are about to open another restaurant in the city center, so hopefully the situation will improve. Until that time - 4 stars.
