Aioli — Restaurant in Warsaw

It was busy when we arrived (late Saturday afternoon), and we had to wait for an available seat, but this was less than 5 minutes so it's a non-issue, and a good indicator of a popular place. The staff were polite, quite quick to respond and overall our service was very good, so no complaints there. My partner had a burger which was fresh, flavoursome and, whilst at the top end of burger prices in WAW, still reasonable value. I had the 45PLN steak and unfortunately it wasn't so great. I'm not sure what cut of meat it was but it was cooked unevenly, was a bit pale in colour and came out at a 'just warm' temperature. The garlic butter (which is flavoursome) struggled to melt on the steak because of this. The steak (as with the burger) was seasoned well, the meat quality was good but it wasn't shown much love in the kitchen and it just didn't quite hit the mark for me. I'm not sure what their signature dish is, maybe the gourmet burgers or pizza (?), maybe because we were seated at the bar (which is quite comfortable), we missed the suggestions from a server. I'll be back to try something different on the menu but I couldn't recommend the steak based on today's experience. For what it's worth, everyone elses food looked great....

Frankly, the food was just okay, however it didn’t make up the manager’s behavior towards us. Since the very beginning we had a problem to arrange a seat (although we mentioned that we don’t need to sit in a group), then the co-manager (?) tried to force us to bring the drinks we hadn’t ordered. When we finally started eating, we got dirty cutlery. We sat exactly under a loudspeaker so it was impossible to talk to each other. When we ask to turn down the music, the waiters and manager made eyes and hadn’t done anything in that case. Even when we finished, the co-manager didn’t listen to our asks for separated bills and made a problem with payments, in spite of our agreement to pay the service fee. Moreover, the restaurant doesn’t provide an English menu which is unacceptable nowadays in in-capital restaurant pretending to be one of the most famous and highly recommended place to eat. Feels a bit like a tourist trap... it started when the WiFi didn't work, even though it looks like it is, and instead of giving me the password they insist of typing it themselves, and twice they typed a wrong password, after I insist of trying again they said the WiFi isn't working today (even though other people there was working with their laptops). The second incident was that after I finished my main dish the waiter came and insisted that I will choose a dessert,he even came already with the cakes on the tray, I said that I might take the cheese cake later, after ten minutes he came with the cake and left it on my table. (He didn't do it to anyone else in the restaurant). When I asked for the bill I saw the cake cost like the main dish. If I was you I would reconsider...
