For the past few trips this has been the place I head to as soon as I get into Warsaw.
It has a light, offbeat, interior dining area and a small but well presented area out front for al fresco dining (which is intimately lit of an evening). Though there is only one toilet it must be said that it is a very nice one and they even supply a wide array of feminine sanitary products free of charge.
The menu features traditional Polish fare (some with contemporary twists) as well a cheese beef/veggie burger option for those not too keen on Polish food. Personally, the Tatar Wołowy is the best steak tatare I believe I have ever tried.
The drinks menu is exstensive with a wide array of spirts, wines and around 20 different cocktails. The beer menu is far more limited and it's best to ask at the restaurant what beers they have on the day (they either brew on site or get it locally, but the specific beers seems to change whenever I'm there).
Service is polite and attentive and I always get a nice welcome, however, the bar is relatively small and often manned by one person; so at busier times in the evening I would recommend ordering cocktails 5-10mins in advance of finising your current one.

Read morePleasant staff and lovely ambience. I ordered the pierogi filled with meat and broth, expecting something similar to a xiao long ba, a dumpling filled with both meat and broth. However, what I received was a plate of meat dumplings with broth poured over them. It might be worth updating the menu description to reflect that it's meat dumplings in broth, rather than filled with it.
Unfortunately, the pierogi dough was quite thick and had an undercooked, floury taste, and the meat inside was on the dry side. The French onion soup was also not quite what I expected. It was quite sweet, more like sugar-sweet than the natural sweetness of caramelized onions. Additionally, I assumed the bread and cheese would be served inside the soup, but the bread was served separately on the side.
The atmosphere and service were both lovely, but the food could use some fine-tuning and clearer menu descriptions to better align with guest...
