I visited hygge with my friend to eat 'late breakfast'. I ordered pancakes and coffee, my friend ordered cheesecake and a cup of cappucino. First of all: the cheesecake was delicious and delicate, the coffee were really good, and the waiter was very kind.
Unfortunetly the service took a very long time and it wasn't well organised. After 10 minutes waiter brought us our coffe and we had to wait another 15 minutes for pancakes and cake, so when we started to eat, our cofee was already cold (hey, don't you know that people like to have their dessert together with coffee? ). The pancakes were a little bit dry and they reminded me more of polish 'racuchy', also the greek yogurt had a weird consistency. We also had to wait over 10 minutes for our bill. The waiter apologized us for a slow service, but it clearly wasn't his fault. Maybe the manager should work on...
Read moreThis was our second attempt at eating at this place. The first time a few weeks ago we wanted to have dinner for two, but after a long wait it was announced that dinner dishes are no longer available. We went elsewhere and didn't give a rating. The second time was breakfast for four. There weren't as many people as the first time, but we waited a bit for the waiter. The dishes were quite tasty and the winter tea was delicious. In my opinion, this place does not have a special atmosphere, like a few other places I have visited in Warsaw, where I had breakfast. If it weren't for the lack of dishes on our first visit, I would have rated this place 4, but I can't. I think the rating is strongly related to the time you come, so be careful with your expectations, especially if there are a lot...
Read moreI like to go to this place when I stay in the nearby Regents hotel. In general I spend a lot of time in hotels and avoid having hotel breakfasts when I can. So Hygge was a nice alternative for me and I used to come here every breakfast or sometimes lunch or dinner. However, I am allergic to air-conditioning, and I was there today at 9 am in the morning and the air-conditioning was fully on. It was +18° C outside. Is it a such necessity in Poland ? It is such an irresponsible use of the energy as the windows and doors of the cafe were fully open. I am not coming back sorry. It’s against not only Hygge concept but also my values. It's also a university accommodation building so i can guess that electricity bills of the cafe might be paid by taxpayers money. That is why they...
