Delicious food and low prices, but there seem to be issues with the staff. We visited this cafe on a Sunday around 20:00. At that time, only one table was occupied, and there was a sign on the door indicating that the cafe was closed. Upon checking with the waiter, we found out that the cafe was still open. However, it’s unclear how long the “Closed” sign had been displayed, which might explain the lack of visitors. Despite the cafe’s official closing time being 22:00, the staff started gradually dimming the lights in the hall and the display case with desserts after 21:20. The waitress promptly cleared our plates as soon as we finished our last bite. In the last 20 minutes, the staff lingered by our table, seemingly eager for us to leave. While I understand the desire to wrap up the workday quickly on a Sunday, this situation left a negative impression. I’m giving it a rating of 1 so that this review gets noticed. However, the cafe itself and the food it serves deserve a high score. It’s great to have such a...
Read moreI'm sorry, but to give such a globally significant name to this place, and then serve such uninspiring and bland food, seems like a disservice to Crimea itself.
The lack of hospitality, a trait often associated with Crimean people and the general warmth of Muslims, was noticeable.
Waiting for a simple kettle of tea for 20 minutes (and only after remaining) is quite puzzling. (I was ready to wait longer for food from kitchen as I understand the challenges for kitchen, especially on busy weekends, but herbal tea?)
The most expensive dish on the menu, lamb ribs, disappoints with minimal meat and an excessive amount of fat that requires lengthy chewing or removal.
The eggplant lacks sufficient seasoning and even salt, and the portion size is quite small, more suitable for a child.
Overall, I left unsatisfied, despite having high hopes for such an important place for many Ukrainians and other Europeans who wish to connect with the rich cuisine and culture...
Read moreWe had afternoon team at Krym cafe. They offer black and green teas — plain or with traditional herbs added. The black tea had a fine aroma, a bit like a Turkish tea but not as dark. The green tea with herbs was a bit one sided regarding thyme bit also nice. We had sweets at the side, a tartlet with lemon creme and meringue and a walnut & dates baklava. Both were good and the style as expected. The location is next to a high traffic street but the pathway is very broad so it was fine to...
