Service by the Manager herself was very awful, I believe her name was Valeria.
To make it more clear, I had a reservation, and after our arrival, I requested a table with a couch from Valeria, which she reported that she couldn't make us sit at any couch table because they all reserved ( we had a reservation as well) Then she tried to make us sit by the entrance of the restaurant where there was already a big group of people sitting and having a conversation loudly when I asked her to for another table she rolled her eyes and showed another side of the restaurant, me and my girlfriend we standing on the other side of the restaurant waiting for her to give us a table but she was ignoring us. I had to chase her all around the restaurant to give us a table, I couldn't even come close and ask her, and she just threw a couple of menus at one table and left without even saying a word to us. We sat down there and I realized she was extremely racist because there was another foreign group that came after us and she was trying to give as bad an impression as she possibly could to them as well. As I noticed Valeria is very picky with her clients, she treats a couple of customers very nicely those who she thinks are worth giving good attention to. Very nice Valeria 👌 👍.
After all, the food was nice. The waiters were good as well. I was there today at noon. I hope Ms.Valeria will get some extra customer service education and stop being racist, and stop being rude to customers.
I was there in that restaurant before couple of times but this kind of incident didn't happen, I hope administration...
Read moreUnfortunately, only an average restaurant and I was expecting something special. For the plus - the dishes. Interesting flavor combinations, which are hard to find in other places, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. For me, Italian cuisine is not only the dish itself but also the interior, Italian music and service. This restaurant lacks all these 3 elements. It's a concept of combining a new interior design that looks like a hotel restaurant, international music and service which is definitely not enough for this number of tables. As a result, the whole experience mixed up. In addition, waiter service deals with the preparation of dishes in the dining room, which may be spectacular, but it also delays service for other guests. House wine for almost PLN 100 per bottle finished, and the next cheapest bottle of wine was almost PLN 150 ... similarly, foccacia was served to every table while waiting for the rest of the dishes - it also ran out. How can this things run out in italian restaurant? The prices of the meals were very OK, but the alcohols were definitely too expensive for such a place. Even for the cutlery we had to wait a few minutes and the dishes were getting cold on the table. Unfortunately, this is not a place I will return to. I'm probably too traditional, because the restaurant was full of a young crowd, whose main task was to post photos on instagram and hence the popularity of the place itself. We'll see how long this confused concept lasts. For me, the way to Italian food and experience is not leading through...
Read moreI visited Lupo for the first time, because quite a few friends told me about it. To be honest, I was pretty surprised because it was nothing special.
The atmosphere and design The place is too crowded and too loud, you can’t communicate normally, you need to speak really loud which makes the place feel uncomfortable and not cozy. The tables are too close to each other and it just feels weird. The cupboard for plates and cutlery was just behind my back so it made a lot of additional unpleasant noise + fuss next to our table. The design of the place is old fashioned and really simple, like something is missing.
The food It came fast, but was nothing special in my opinion. The accompanying salad was super sour, pasta in shape of flowers had a strong taste of oregano. The lemonade - was bitter and not tasty at all. I asked to bring without ice and they brought it in a different size glass than my friend who ordered with ice. Also the lemonade with ice had really little lemonade itself as the ice cubes are huge.
Service We had a reservation, were sat pretty fast, but had to wait to order around 15 mins (asked a few times for a waiter and were told to wait). When I ordered focaccia, I asked if I could keep olive oil and the waitress replied “it will be enough” and took the olive oil with her which I think is not really ok if I prefer to add more olive oil whenever I want.
Overall I believe that the place is too much overrated / hyped, I really didn’t get the point why it’s so popular. I will not come back and I would not recommend it...
