Such a lovely restaurant with a fun name!! haha visited with my best friend during our quick trip in Warsaw, and enjoyed the whole experience at the restaurant. Honestly, laughed quite hard at the name and thought it was such a witty way to let others know what they have!! haha "Sushi tu Thai" can never forget it!
About the food, well, we ordered dumplings as are appetizer, and of course you can never mess up the dumplings so wouldn't talk much about that, but we ordered ramen and pad thai. I would say the ramen was a bit oily flavor. The broth was nice but the added sesame oil or some sort of oil was added a bit much to ruin the actual flavor of the broth. Then for pad thai, it was nice but the noodles were too over cooked.
However, all the staff members were very friendly, and my one visit should not stop you from visiting this restaurant as I will be back at some point to give it...
Read morei went for classic: shoyu ramen and sashimi shoyu is all about broth. and this one was really good: deep, with nice umami taste enhanced by mushrooms. grilled sirloin and sesame oil nicely underlined fatty notes. eggs perfectly done, kept in soy sauce- good!!! noodles… it was mistake. when we talk ramen we expect ramen noodles. these were rather udon like. all together good! sashimi.. that wasn’t that good. first of all, i’d like to ask sushi master where did he learn do cut fish for sashimi? salmon was like bricks, it was difficult for me to fit one piece in mouth. and everywhere cheap fish roe, killing fish taste (so ginger was not necessary anymore). on top of tuna and salmon there was almost nothing more (two overcooked prawns & baby octopus) this was anything but nit...
Read moreI have been to Sushi Tu Thai two times in the last 6 months - it has been a favourite amongst my colleagues and I for Sushi / Thai in central Warsaw. It took over 90 minutes to get our food and then the order was mixed up and we were also charged for items we did not receive. The server did their best, but as they did not seem fluent in either Polish or English it was difficult. Finally, even though the restaurant was nearly closed and almost empty we had to walk to the front to get our bill. I would only recommend going if you are in a small group (1-2 people) - our party of seven was an ill fit for this...
