Hands down the best breakfast place in Warsaw! Hard to put into words how wonderful our experience with Milkbar has been but I’ll give it a go :) The food is excellent here, with our favorites being the truffle scrambled eggs and the croque madam for a salty breakfast or the berry pierogi and the serniki tres leches for sweet breakfasts (honestly we normally take both because it’s hard to resist). For the drinks - the lavender latte and lavender hot chocolate are a must try! The service is impeccable (as it often is in Ukrainian restaurants) and very impressive - not only do the waiters recognize me and my husband, but they also make a point to remember our favorite drinks and often offer to bring them as we sit down. Being Ukrainian and far from home, I also appreciate greatly that I have the possibility to order and communicate in my own language. The ambience itself is very cozy and pleasant, the seating is comfortable and yet spacious enough that you feel private from other tables. One watch out is that more often than not there is a line for dining in but if you’d like to sit without a wait, I recommend arriving early at their opening time. I have to say that we were also very impressed that the establishment brought out complimentary hot chocolate to all those waiting in line to sit in the winter - it was incredible to see such a nice touch from management, really taking care of their customers. Their bakery is also amazing - highly recommend the red velvet and the Kyiv cakes, but overall everything I’ve tried there has been great. We come for breakfast every week (sometimes more than once) and will surely keep doing so for months to come. Thank you to the Milkbar staff for...

This place definitely fills the gap in the market. The menu is digital and has both languages EN/PL as well as pictures for every position. The menu itself is in my opinion ideal. Something for everyone, not too small/not too big, combines classic as well as some new dishes. Service wasn’t extraordinary but was very quick and efficient. I ordered an Americano (7/10) but was slightly disappointed in how it was served. More like a huge jug of coffee, which by the time you finish drinking it, it would’ve turned cold. I prefer the more it served like a long black style, smaller, and may be a lighter cup. Now let’s talk food: Avocado Toast with Salmon: Served with Lime and Lemon! (If you know you know) Great ratio of bread to avocado Fresh quality ingredients The avocado mash didn’t have any seasoning, plain. Lacks depth, and flavor overall. Solid 7/10 Truffle Scramble: Overall 8/10 Very creamy, balanced Lacks the truffle flavor. Honestly, if you decided to add a truffle dish, it’s either go all in or don’t put it at all. Otherwise you’re just teasing so to say. Shrimp Porridge: Overall 10/10, something new. Call it a breakfast risotto. Hearty, warm, flavorful. Thoroughly enjoyed.
All in all, very much enjoyed. Looking forward to be back and try other breakfast and lunch...
Read moreAs much as i liked Milk bar in Kyiv, my experience in Warsaw was terrible. I ordered hash brown with salmon. Hash brown was raw. It was clearly raw potatoes. When the waiter asked if we liked the food I said that I did not like that potatoes are raw and they should not serve this to people. She offered to take my food for examination to the kitchen. I was confused , and first wanted to just eat the remaining salmon and salad and forget about it. Still, she insisted , so I was like ok. In 5 min the manager of the restaurant came to our table and started telling me nicely that I simply do not understand how hash brown is cooked. That they literary work the whole day to achieve this crunchy consistency of a hash brown. I said it was raw like a cabbage, not a cooked crunchy potato. She continued gaslighting me saying that it is ok that I did not like this dish . Honestly , I was about to cry. Despite she ordered me to bring something else instead , I was so frustrated that I did not want anything freshly cooked from them. I did not pay for the raw hash brown, at least. And they gave us some cake for free. Guys, raw potatoes are dangerous, there could be kids eating this or pregnant women. Please, take better care of what you serve to people. And a simple apology and accepting your fault would be enough in...
