Totally loved the experience of being at the University of Warsaw Library Gardens! Though library was closed for holidays but I'll plan a visit there when it gets greener and more colorful.

Impressive from the outside, exquisite from the inside, and has fantastic views from the top. I had been planning on visiting this extraordinary library in Poland, which is one of its kind located right in the heart of the national capital. Speaking of the library:

The library boasts of a roof garden split into two parts: the upper garden (open to the public from April to October) and the lower garden (open year-round)

The garden was opened on the University of Warsaw Library roof in 2002, spanning over the 1-hectare surface area.

It's one of the largest roof gardens in Europe accessible through an entry garden. The roof garden is divided into two parts. A cascading stream connects both parts (upper & lower parts).

The lower part includes a fish pond, with a bunch of ducks paddling around. Warsaw has a nice population of Mandarin ducks which are an exotic duck breed, so colourful. You might come across one of them stroking the lake waters.

There's a series of granite sculptures by Ryszard Stryjecki on cosmological themes.

Make sure that you check the hours correctly before you go there. To enter the library premises indoors, you must have a library card or a student's ID from the University of Warsaw.

The University of Warsaw Library Garden is an absolute gem! It offers a unique experience that combines tranquility, stunning views, and a vibrant atmosphere.

What sets this library garden apart is the opportunity to venture onto the library's roof, where you're treated to an awe-inspiring panorama of the Vistula River and the cityscape. The view alone is worth the visit!

One of the things I love most about this garden is its diverse and international community. It's a melting pot of students and people from all over the world, which adds a vibrant and multicultural vibe to the place. You'll always find a lively atmosphere and a sense of connection with fellow visitors.

Moreover, the University of Warsaw Library Garden frequently hosts exciting events that showcase the talent and creativity of its community. Whether it's art exhibitions, cultural performances, or academic discussions, there's always something interesting happening here. It's a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the cultural fabric of the university and city.

In summary, the University of Warsaw Library Garden is a true hidden gem that offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty, panoramic views, and a vibrant community. If you're seeking a serene escape with a touch of cosmopolitan charm, this is the place to be. Don't miss out on this...

Hidden Gem in the Heart of Warsaw! The Terrace Garden at Warsaw University Library is an absolute delight! Nestled atop the library, this serene oasis offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The lush greenery, beautifully maintained plants, and stunning views of Warsaw make it a must-visit spot unknown to many tourists. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of seating areas and shaded spots to relax. The atmosphere is incredibly calming, making it an ideal place to unwind or get some work done. One of the highlights is the panoramic view of the city skyline, which is especially breathtaking at sunset. The garden is also a great place for a leisurely stroll, with well-paved paths and a variety of plants to admire. Overall, the Terrace Garden at Warsaw University Library is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of nature and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone...
