This is by far the worse restaurant in Warsaw and I do not recommend anyone going there. I have been living in Warsaw for some time and usually service in restaurants is fairly good. In this place the waiters were untrained, unprepared and rude. The food took hours to arrive and when we tried to address this with our waitress she just ignored us, was rude and short and never at some point apologised. The food is edible, but is far below the quality being advertised on social media by this place. I did not finish my dish as it was too salty, greasy and the flavour was off (pad thai with tofu). There are excellent in places in Warsaw that serve delicious pad thai, this is not one of them. We tried multiple times to address with the waitress the poor quality of the food and the lengthy wait, as a response she turned our back on us and walked away from the table, refusing to face us or address the issues. The other waitress attending our table was more polite, but clearly required further training on the job, this for me reflects a manager that does not care how front-house service works and performs and clearly fails to understand that having a positive experience in a restaurant is about great food and service. The waitress that spent an evening being rude to us and ignoring our feedback, gave us the receipt and as she did asked us to give her a tip. The lack of self-reflection and awareness in this request was shocking after a very unpleasant evening and unacceptable behaviour on her side and the entire staff. Whoever owns and manages this restaurant does not care about its customers. Food business is not just about being trendy on social media, it is about wonderful food and professional service. Monkey Love is not worth the drive or walk there, if you have it on your wish list remove it, there are so many wonderful Asian restaurants and businesses in Warsaw that cannot even be compared to this place, as it would be an insult to teams that actually care about their customers. How would I summarise this place? A scam trying to pass by on your social media apps as a trendy spot, while it is just a trap: you will wait hours for a food that lacks quality and is overpriced and the waiters will ignore you and be...
Read moreA slice of heaven-an oasis, tucked away from the dynamic Warsaw city centre next to Wisła river. I had the please urge of visiting Monkey Love last weekend with a few girlfriends. Stepping into the restaurant is like entering a culinary wonderland where every dish delights the senses. Their steak tartare is nothing short of extraordinary—perfectly seasoned, tender, and simply mouthwatering. The duck bao buns are another standout, boasting soft, fluffy buns that encase fresh, succulent duck, creating a symphony of flavors and textures.
The dessert offerings are the stuff of dreams, particularly the salted caramel and miso cheesecake, which is truly out of this world. It strikes a perfect balance of sweet and savory, leaving a lasting impression.
Complementing the exquisite food, ambiance , music and enchanting candlelight atmosphere the perfec evening cap was their house cocktail Refleksja which redefines the classic margarita. Infused with the lightness of bubbles, it retains that tart citrus flavor that margarita lovers crave, elevating the experience to new heights.
A special mention must go to Manager Julian, whose attentive service and warm hospitality made our evening exceptional from start to finish. My friends and I are still raving about the incredible night we had and have eagerly booked our next visit for the coming weekend. Monkey Love is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience, accompanied by tailored DJ vibes. Just to add that bit of class and glamour we crave in our...
Read moreLike so many other places in Warsaw, this place is all style over substance. The interior is pretty and stylish. That’s where the positives end. Service: completely lacking. Aloof. Waiters standing around together instead of bringing menus, taking orders, checking if everything is good, etc. (Other reviews note the same- waiters just hanging around the bar ignoring customers.) When I stared at a waitress to get her attention, she finally strolled over and said, "You want something..?” The bartender is barely 20 years old and can’t make a basic (55 pln lol) margarita. Hint: a spicy margarita always includes a spicy addition (like fresh jalapeno) and it is never served with a salted rim! Instead you use tajin or something similar. The food is average to below average. The papaya salad is something strange… not sure the chef has ever tried papaya salad. Too bad, as this place looked like it had potential. But the curse of Warsaw’s atrocious customer service continues at this place. Note: this is no longer 80s communist Poland. Time to bring customer service up to basic levels seen everywhere else in the world. Also, if you’re not familiar with Asian (I think this is what they are going for..?) cuisine, don’t do it. Stick to cooking...
