I visited this hotel last week & upon arrival, it looked very nice.||I visited with 6 work colleagues and shared a room for two.||The breakfasts had lots to offer, but the same all week - scrambled||egg & sausages for the hot dishes, but more choice for cold. Cheese||& meats, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, boiled eggs (in half with mayo? on top)||fruit, cereals & yoghurts. Bread/rolls were also available with jam/honey/nutella.||We didn't have dinner at the hotel.||At first the staff seemed a bit 'stand offish' but as the week progressed, some ||did manage a laugh or two.||The hotel is on the outskirts & you would need a vehicle to access the city centre.||The room was adequate, a nice bathroom and lovely shower, however, we had to request a plug for the sink as ours was missing!||Bottled water was replaced daily, whether we paid for that, I don't know. We just had a total figure to pay, but, in fairness, we didn't ask for a breakdown of the charges.||My biggest disappointment was that it appeared the bedroom wasn't vacuumed all week & our bath towels only replaced once.||If I visited Warsaw again, I would probably decide to stay closer to the heart...
Read moreI visited last time in May 2016. The place had a good spirit. This time, however, in November 2016, I was greeted and treated rudely. I have no idea what caused the shocking hostility at the reception desk, but I think people working at a reception should have some basic idea of their job and what it entails. Possibly my staying just one night annoyed the ladies. Clearly, I had no meaning for them. Anyway, if you agree to surrender to the brutal and icy treatment at the reception you will find a pleasant hotel, very clean, with a decent breakfast and decent pricing. Located in the back of a historic park, one of Warsaw's main tourist attractions. There is no elevator and the hallways are really long. Do not bring giant suitcases to this hotel. Even though I had a lot of baggage I was given the furthest room at the highest floor. That was the definition of service for them that night...I will not stay at this hotel again, but you are welcome to try it. I hope they will instruct their staff regarding basic techniques how to control their hostility...
Read moreWe arrived late at night by taxi and were greeted kindly at the reception and got the key in no time. We got a relatively large room, and although the furniture was very old-fashioned the beds were firm but lovely to sleep on.||On the lesser side, the leader of dust on the chandelier and on the light switches told a different story. Everything else was clean though, so no real complaint about cleanliness. ||Trouble arose when we attempted to take a shower in the morning. There was no hot water, instead, the water had a temperature you would associate with the Vistula in October. I called the reception, and after a while I got through and was told it was a city heating problem (Warsaw has a district heating system). No solution, so we took quick iceberg showers.||Luckily the breakfast was very nice, fresh and more than expected compared to the room. When we checked out we gallantly received a discount for the water trouble. We left our bags there for the day and collected them again in the evening. The friendly receptionist called a...
