Title: A Disappointing Experience: Unresponsive and Irresponsible Behavior at the Indian Embassy in Warsaw

Rating: ☆☆☆☆ (0/5)

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the Indian Embassy in Warsaw, and I must say that I am deeply disappointed with their unresponsive and irresponsible behaviour. For over a year, I have been struggling to get assistance for my sick sister, who suffers from psychosis. Despite submitting all the required documents, my interactions with the embassy have been marked by false hope, incorrect information, and an overall lack of empathy.

First and foremost, the lack of responsiveness from the embassy has been extremely frustrating. I have been writing emails for an entire year, hoping for some guidance or support, but my efforts have largely gone unanswered. It is disheartening to receive no acknowledgement or assistance when dealing with such a critical matter concerning my sister's health.

To make matters worse, I even made two visits to Poland specifically to seek assistance from the embassy. Unfortunately, my efforts were in vain as the embassy staff provided me with incorrect information and false hope. Their claims and promises, which initially seemed reassuring, turned out to be nothing more than empty words. It is deeply concerning that the embassy, which is meant to be a place of support and guidance for Indian citizens, would provide misleading information during such a crucial time.

The strange behaviour exhibited by the embassy staff only adds to the confusion and frustration. Their lack of empathy and understanding towards the urgency of my sister's condition is truly disconcerting. It is expected that an embassy, as a representative body of a nation, would prioritize the well-being of its citizens and offer the necessary assistance and support. However, my experience suggests otherwise.

Based on my encounters, I would strongly advise anyone planning to visit Poland to be prepared to take care of themselves, as the Indian Embassy in Warsaw seems to display an alarming lack of concern for its citizens. It is unfortunate that during a time when support is needed the most, the embassy fails to fulfil its responsibilities.

In conclusion, my experience with the Indian Embassy in Warsaw has been extremely disappointing. The unresponsive and irresponsible behaviour exhibited by the embassy staff, coupled with false hope and incorrect information, has only added to the challenges I have faced while seeking assistance for my sister. I hope that the embassy will take steps to rectify these issues and provide the support and empathy that Indian citizens in Poland rightfully deserve. The gentleman from the North East working at the embassy, along with the local Polish woman at the counter, should ideally be assessed for their suitability for this role. They appear unwilling or unable to exercise the patience required to assist visitors properly.

We understand that handling queries from Indian nationals can be challenging at times, but it’s important to assign staff who are both empathetic and culturally sensitive. In India, despite the massive population, passport-related services manage to function efficiently because staff are trained to handle large volumes of people with a variety of concerns.

While anyone can work anywhere—as many of us do here in Poland—passport services require individuals who can demonstrate patience and a willingness to answer even basic or repetitive questions.

What might seem like a silly question to someone working behind the counter could be crucial to someone trying to avoid complications.

We kindly request that staffing decisions take this into consideration to ensure smoother service for...

No close dates for normal passport reissue, you wait minimum 3 weeks just to get appointment to submit documents, people complaining they didn't get their passport renewed for even 4-5 months. Upon requesting to give sooner appointment to submit documents, they say it is what it is.

NO TATKAL OPTION?? KIDDING ME? This embassy runs on Indian tax payers money, but not to serve us, nothing less than a sarkari office in India. Then they are surprised why indians leaving citizenship? Keep guessing.

In twenty twenty hecking five people have to wait over 2-3-4-5 months to get their passport renewed? Great!

You guys didn't let us vote for Lok Sabha elections in 2024, ignoring 20-30k voters living in Poland, you don't provide faster service for passport renewal something that should take 10-15 max 20 days takes months, no exceptions, no urgent requests? WHY THE HECK ARE YOU SITTING IN LAVISH EMBASSY ON INDIANS TAX MONEY? If to renew my passport quicker I need to spend money to go to India, why do we even have...

Exceptional service at the Indian Embassy in Poland. From the moment I entered, the security staff was organized and respectful, checking appointments and guiding visitors clearly. Electronics are not allowed inside, but the process was smooth and professional. I had forgotten to bring a printout of my application, but one of the consular staff outside went above and beyond. He kindly let me use his laptop to download my form and when he noticed my phone was low on battery, he quietly plugged it in to charge. A truly helpful and polite gentleman. Inside, the lady handling passport renewals was equally supportive. She immediately agreed to help me print my application from an email I sent - no hesitation, just genuine assistance. I’m deeply proud to see such warmth, efficiency, and dedication from our embassy staff abroad. They are not just representatives of India 🇮🇳 - they are examples of true service and humanity. Thank you!

I would like to raise a concern regarding the employment practices at Magtrans Sp. z o.o. It has come to my attention that the company is requiring employees to sign an agreement that ties their temporary residence card to their employment status with the company. This seems to unfairly restrict the freedom of employees to seek other employment, as it forces them to remain with the company or risk losing their legal status in the European Union. Such practices could be considered exploitative and might violate workers' rights. I urge the embassy to to take actions against these policies and ensure that they comply with labor laws and human rights standards.
