Restaurant Challenge '32 — Restaurant in Warsaw

I ordered a fish soup 🍲 with tomatoes 🍅 and a beef burger 🍔 with smoked bacon 🥓.

Food:

Fish 🐟 soup The fish soup 🍲 was simply amazing.

I had a long tiring flight ✈️, and I felt energised after the soup.

The fish 🐟 meat was cooked to a tender level. It melted in my mouth.

The tomatoes added a bit of acidity which enhanced the dish.

It had a lingering taste which made me crave for more!

The beef burger 🍔 I ordered a medium burger and they delivered one! Meat had a beautiful pink colour.

Taste: A well rounded burger 🍔. The ingredients were balanced, and it is definitely one of the better burgers I had.

Price: I did not venture into town; therefore I do not have other restaurant prices which I can relate to. I felt it was pricey but the quality justified it in my humble opinion.

Service: Very friendly waiter.

+Asked me a couple times if everything was ok.

No complaints at all.

Location: I liked the place. Felt comfortable to me.

I think they have taken the reviews into account and improved!...

Restaurant is well laid out, decor is nice as well as service. Food unfortunately is of average or below average standards. I have ordered cured salmon which was advertised to come with caviar - what I received generous amount of pieces of quite bland semi cured salmon with tobiko ( I guess this was supposed to be the caviar ), served with a delicious fennel salad. My second was duck pierogi served with red cabbage puree. Pierogi were filled with bland unseasoned duck meat ; dough was grey and gooey and thick ( I only managed to eat one and a half of them ) red cabbage puree again had no taste to it and was quite honestly inedible. One must say wine list is well designed and I managed to get a good glass of highly overpriced gewurztraminer. The quality and service is really something extra here. They keep the standard very high each time I’ve been here, the service and quality has not changed since last year. During last year I’ve been here at least four times. The tartar and dumplings for starters are always a good choice and their meat selection is great. I like that you can see them preparing the meal and it feels very fresh. The food comes prepared beautifully which gives this place nice ambience. As I said the service here is really good so I give that alone an extra star. The selection of beer/wine is very good as well. I can feel somebody put a lot of effort into to making the meny, it’s a really good restaurant, always happy to come back...
