Well, where can I start....I ordered Egusi soup with pounded Yam, some fried plantains and some fried yams. I always support african restaurants wherever countries I travel to. I was really looking forward to eating at this place and I was starving. As a person who likes eating out and appreciating African dishes, this was the worst experience ever. Egusi came in a cereal bowl, tasteless, 2 pieces of meat and highly salted....nothing to compare with this delicious soup I had in some real Nigerian restaurants in London, Kigali, Paris.....the list is endless. The dish presentation was horrible, nothing to compare to the pictures shown on their website. The fried plantains lost its sweetness for the moment it landed on my table. The only dish I enjoyed was the fried yams by itself. My poor niece left the place empty stomach...the so-called " shawarma" she ordered was horrendous. The wrap had 2 ingredients, lettuce, onions, and a huge quantity of mayonnaise... the chicken was barely visible! What a waste of our money...I will NEVER ever eat at this place...please avoid it at any cost if you a real foodie...
Read moreThe food was trash like it was cooked for days and warmed for customers, the guy who was dark and had an Afro served me the meal and l asked for egusi and okra soup but he served egusi only and the reason was okra takes take and opted to wait for my okra soup but he said he was going to charge me for okra soup which l asked that l wanted mixed with egusi which he didn’t, so l said it’s fine l will wait for okra whilst I’m eating egusi right, tell my this guy came with ordinary soup which tasted like it was cooked last week and expected me to be fooled that it was okra and remember I’m African l know okra it’s kinda slippery and l have eaten Nigerian okra soup before, and before served me he said l was going to pay half because he was not gonna make it a small portion and no meat which was not fair, l refused to pay for the okra soup because it wasn’t okra soup so l paid for my egusi and water only. The other thing was he said their payment machine was not working so l had to block them which was off to me ummm this shop is trash...
Read moreUnfortunately one big disappointment. After seeing photos and opinions on google maps I specially came from the other side of Warsaw to try out this restaurant. I was aware that the prices could have changed during the pandemic, but I was not prepared for this outrageous prices. On the pics from google maps you can see that it used to cost 15 zl for rice plus sauce and than you could add some protein etc. I imagine for around 30 zl you could have a good meal before. Now everything is paid separately. Rice only is 20 zl, sauce another 17 and proteins around 10 zl. In total for rice with tomato sauce and few super dry and tasteless pieces of plantain I paid 50 zl. I cannot understand it, especially considering that not even one ingredient is hard to find in Poland. Sauce was just tomatoes and peanuts + rice. It’s not worth 50 zl and it’s a very easy meal. Maybe for 20 zl I would be satisfied. Taste is ok, but nothing special. Would not recommend...
