I rarely write reviews, but this meal was so appallingly bad that I felt genuinely compelled to warn others. I ordered the red curry with chicken from Thai Wok, expecting at the very least a modest, satisfying takeaway experience. Instead, I received something that barely qualified as edible — let alone Thai food.
Let’s start with the chicken — or rather, the microscopic trace amounts of it. My entire dish contained maybe 4 or 5 tiny, dry fragments of chicken, lost in a sea of underwhelming sauce and vegetables. I’m not exaggerating: you could count the chicken pieces without even using both hands. Considering that chicken is one of the cheapest proteins to source and cook, this level of stinginess borders on offensive. If you’re going to call it “red curry with chicken,” maybe make sure the chicken actually shows up?
Then there was the rice — dry, clumpy, and clearly sitting around for far too long. It didn’t absorb the sauce. It didn’t complement the curry. It was hard. Stale.
Now to the vegetables. A bizarre, almost comical assortment that seemed like it had been scooped randomly out of a bulk prep bucket. There was one lonely broccoli floret awkwardly sitting among a generic mix of chopped carrots, peppers, and something I haven’t been able to identify. Why one broccoli? Was it a mistake? Was it a joke? There was zero care or intention in how the vegetables were selected, cooked, or portioned.
The sauce is the only thing keeping this review from being a 1-star death sentence. It had a decent level of spice and flavor. It wasn’t great — but it was at least passable. Which is more than I can say for the rest of the dish.
In summary: • Chicken: practically non-existent • Rice: dry, hard, and disrespectful • Vegetables: randomly slapped in like a careless afterthought • Sauce: tolerable, and the sole saving grace
This was a textbook case of how to ruin a classic dish through sheer laziness and cheapness. Thai food is one of the most vibrant and satisfying cuisines on the planet. Somehow, this place managed to make it feel like a punishment.
Would I order from here again? Not even if I were starving. Avoid...
Read moreI been here fewer times, everytime I met these people(Sofia, Julia, Victor) who are super nice to the customers and so kind, and the food is really good compared to other thai food restaurants.
Just as an instance, it was quiet late in the evening and I was there with my family...indeed I was the last customer of the day and they were cleaning the restaurant and closing everything.. while I was having dinner my kid spill some food and dropped a bottle of water over seats, tale , floor... and he was being little fussy as I was forcing food on him.
Having said that, Sofia was cleaned the restuarnt already and plus most of the thing were arranged,... she didnt even make any face (like annoyed or irritated etc).. with a smile she said.. "He is Kid its totally fine, I can clean it, Just leave it as it is". I was like people get mad even if we step on on a wet mopped floor... but this lady is super kind and patient...Just felt how much they value customers and understand people from their shoe.. Indeed I felt bad for spilling water...
I really recommend this Hotel, and Yep not because of my gulit.. truely, I say the spicy Soya noodles with Chicken was my...
Read moreI had bad experience. Food very average. For this price, you’re much better off going to a proper restaurant. There were signs on the table clearly advertising a promotion, so I ordered a dish from it. Later I realized I was charged the full price. When I asked why, the staff told me that unless you specifically say you want the promotional price and dish, they don’t apply it.
That’s just dishonest. I felt tricked and taken advantage of. Definitely not coming back, and I don’t recommend this...
