Tran Tran was an incredibly pleasant surprise. The place itself is subtle, and you would easily miss it if you were walking/driving down the street too fast as it is tucked away in the corner; but this is not a place you want to miss. The menu is relatively short, but I could confidently say that everything on it would be worth trying. The starters are fresh and interesting, and incredibly cheap for the quality you are served. The Red Curry I had for my main (which I requested to be extra spicy) was creamy, rich, and fiery. The spice level was better than I had requested, but the flavours still beautifully came through in the dish. Overall I have never been more impressed by the all-round experience here; the food, the atmosphere, my wonderfully funny waiter, and the incredible prices they offer. I almost wanted to ask if I could pay more for what I had been served that night, as it didn't feel like I was paying enough for how good the food was. 11/10, couldn't have asked for a...
Read moreThe restaurant boasts beautiful decor, blending Asian and European styles harmoniously, creating a cozy yet modern ambiance. This week, I had the chance to try two dishes: Hủ tiếu and Bún bò.
The Bún bò was truly impressive, with a rich and well-balanced flavor. The accompanying fresh and green vegetables enhanced the overall appeal of the dish.
The weekly special during my visit was Hủ tiếu. While the broth didn’t quite hit the mark and lacked a bit of natural sweetness, the portion was generous, offering nearly all the toppings you’d expect from a traditional Hủ Tiếu in Vietnam.
I also tried a Thai matcha tea, which had a light sweetness and a fragrant aroma, making it very pleasant to drink.
However, a downside was the wait time for the food, which was a bit long, and the service, including requesting assistance or the bill, was also...
Read moreA Vietnamese restaurant is added to my favorites list because not only the food is quite delicious, but most importantly, the lovely waitress. :))) The first time I came here with about 7 friends, it was quite late, around 21:00. I ordered chicken fried rice, highly recommend for everyone to eat this dish, my friends eat pho and some people eat bun cha but the broth is a bit too salty because may be it was the end of the day. (hope the restaurant pay attention about this issue). The second time I came here, I also ordered chicken rice, but this time the rice was replaced with another type of rice. (Actually, I think fried rice should use dry rice, not sticky rice.) In general, the other dishes look quite good, my friends also said that, the price is also affordable, next time I will try...
