Karczma Chata Zbójnicka — Restaurant in Zakopane

Sort review: Just briljante taste and atmosphere !!!. Slightly longer review...Surprise of the Holliday, traveling across Europe and ending up at this place by coincidence. We started out on the first night just trying some stuff of of the menu. The taste was just mind boggling. Propper "mountain " food. Even our little one of 8 years old loved every bite of his food. The next day we tried some other dishes of the menu because we were very curious how the rest will taste. I'm a big meat lover but the potato dish with mushrooms almost made me change completely over to being vegetarian. For dinner that night we had the "mixed" grilled meat dish. That was just incredible. The hospitality was great, even if i didn't understand a word in Polish. The waiter was interacting with all tables at the same time what created a brilliant atmosphere. I can really recommend eating over here!!! Hope to be back here...

As a tourist from the United States, getting a great classic Mountainous Polish cuisine would be here! They put a twist of lamb into many dishes, this is met with a tender lamb in those specific dishes. The soups, especially the “Żurek” were to die for. For an alternative dish for those who don’t necessarily enjoy a polish cuisine would be the pizza. With over 7 types to choose from. The service? Outstanding. Our waiter was hilarious without missing out on the professional part. A personal recommendation for anyone going here (I mean, who wouldn’t?) try to go for the seats outside. There you are met with pretty good views of nature, civilization, and part of the mountains this place...

Super mixed impression. The food was great overall, the atmosphere could be improved, but the service was a total disappointment. Soups were exceptional, ribs and their firm potato pancakes tasted amazing.Grilles meat was dry despite being highly recommended by waitress. Early closing, the lights weren't turned on to create evening atmosphere. The waitress was a very kind and helping woman, she put much effort in her work , but she mixed up our order several times, drinks wee serves too late, and the final bill contained something we haven't ordered.
