Zakopiański Bar — Restaurant in Zakopane

This place is in a very convenient location but unfortunately that’s the only good thing about it.

We went there for breakfast and were quite disappointed. The scrambled eggs were swimming in some sort of fat. The sausages were simple frankfurters but poultry ones I think. The only good thing out of the breakfast was the bread roll which seemed to be baked there.

The menu was in Polish only, and although I can read it a lot of people were struggling. When they asked the staff to explain the options, the staff was visibly irritated that they have to do that which is just rude. Either have it in English some people don’t have to ask questions or simply answer the question without attitude.

Oh, and toilets were 2 zł to enter! Even...

Zakopiański Bar has a convenient location right next to the central station, but the food quality and service were disappointing. We visited in the morning for a waffle (gofry), but the female staff member preparing it seemed visibly irritated for no apparent reason, making the experience uncomfortable. Since the waffle wasn’t ready, we opted for a pancake instead for takeaway. Unfortunately, the pancake itself tasted quite bad and wasn’t enjoyable. While the location is ideal for a quick bite, the unfriendly service and poor food quality make it hard to recommend. Definitely not the best choice for breakfast...

Initially, we wanted to buy waffles before the long hike, the responsible lady told us that they were unavailable until 12. Well ok, we’ve decided to go with pancakes, however, she didn’t care about us staying in front of her and started talking to another customer, as if we did not exist. After my remark that we were still there and ready to order, she has finally accepted the order, however, her attitude was rude, unwelcoming, unprofessional and overall disappointing.
