Overall the hotel is great choice for hiking weekend break in Zakopane. Location - 10min walk from the bus station and the buses to the main attractions i.ex. Morskie Oko, Kuźnice for Kasprowy Wierch; also walking distance to the start point of other hikes. In the middle of Krupówki street so plenty of shops (inc. grocery stores) around. I guess during the season this area feels very crowded and noisy but at the beginning of June we didnt have any issues: the room was quiet, overlooking parking, only a couple of tables taken during the breakfast. Room - spacious, decorated in a regional style, with good wifi signal, TV and kettle in a room, table with two chairs. We had a private balcony, great way to relax after a day long hike away from the crowds. There is also a swimming pool and sauna in the hotel for free for hotel guests. Breakfast - cold and hot options, omlette/ scrambled eggs can be prepared on request, freshly baked bread really delicious. We didnt have any meals (except breakfast) in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on this; the reception service was really friendly and helpful, the same during the breakfast. Id stay here again (really like the regional decor and the location) but outside the main season. Im not sure if there is a lift in the hotel so for some guests this could be problematic as all rooms are located on 1st, 2nd...

Noone cares of guests arriving, or neither of offering them a menu, etc. Note: there were three tables and around 4-5 waiters, so nothing to blame on a big amount of the guests, right? Don't want to blame it totally on the waiters, but I believe that management is also responsible for the poor work organization. It is also probably the salary that is too low to motivate the workers, that's quite possible, so dear owners of the business /karczma, start acting not only earning. The waiters began to clean the floor and tables without prior informing that that day the place was closing 1 hour before the regular schedule. Note! - At that moment, guests were still eating, and someone started to mop floors in front of the guests while you are eating! That's' not ok. Even though the place looks beautiful, it does not leave the best...
Read moreAVOID this place if you want pleasant service. We sat down and waited for the menu about 20m. Waitresses (yes multiple!) walked pass our table several times. When we politely tried to make eye contact with them, they turned their heads away and walked to other direction. When we finally caught one, and told that we waited 20minutes, she just shrugged and said so what? 🙃
Once we received the food, we only got 2 forks but there were 3 of us. So now we had to go and find somebody who would not escape and would give us cutlery for 3.
About the food: we got our dumplings& beer then it was rather impolitely slammed on the table. So yeah, even if the dumplings tasted alright, I...
