Have been to this place more than 12 times in total(summer time)and I really loved everything about this place before, but this time was definitely my last one.I have got so unpleasant and terrible experience over this place in general. The menu is changed already and has no much fish choices as before.Once we entered the restaurant ,there was no staff who could approach us to sit .We were waiting for a 5 mins until i took decision to approach a lady who worked there (seems she was a supervisor),so she offered us a place to sit. The waiter who came to assist us was super unprofessional with a bad manners , i asked him to bring us a tea once we’ll be done with our meals, the respond came from a waiter in very ridiculous way as he doesn’t really have a time to remember or to think about our tea to bring after the meals ,as he handling 8 more tables. He advised me to cancel the tea request and to order again after we finish our meal! Seriously? Ok. Let it be no tea then, not in this way .We have ordered a salmon, which was super dry and trout with a very bitter taste, seems the fish wasn’t fresh at all, but stored in a freezer before served to the table. While we had our meal, the waitress next to our table picked up pet’s plate from the floor and placed over the dining table,in a few minutes lately she was preparing and rubbing all washed cutlery by her hands with no gloves. It’s the biggest disgusting thing I have ever seen at this restaurant ,wondering what would i see if i get a chance to enter their kitchen? The staff members are not following proper hygiene practices, I believe that staff training is the key to hygiene, health and safety. Seems this restaurant isn’t working for a quality standards , how come such a place does exist then ? I would never recommend this...

I do not recommend this place at all. They only accept cash and the food is tasteless. On top of that, they try to rip you off by charging you for every small thing, such as ketchup and the lemon that is put on top of your fish. Never in my life have I paid extra for lemon on a fish or ketchup at a restaurant.

I ordered borscht with dumplings as an appetizer and it was decent, although the dumplings tasted really old to me.

My main course was lamb goulash with dumplings. The lamb goulash was so overcooked that it had no flavor, and I wouldn't be surprised if they cheated me and gave pork instead(which is cheaper meat).

My family ordered hungarian flaki (guts), salad and borscht with a croquet + and a pstrag (trout) with fries.

The flaki (guts) didn't come with bread and didn't taste too great.

The croquest was greasier than a slice of pizza at a cheap pizza joint. I had to to wash my hands each time I touched the croquet.

The trout was really small and seemed overcooked. Surprisingly, we had to ask for ketchup, which was the tastiest thing served within this restaurant. The salad was also tasteless...

We were shocked that the restaurant charged us extra for ketchup and the lemon that came with the fish, on top of the lousy service. Makes sense why they only accepted cash (this was the only place we encountered that only took cash) given that they charge you for every small thing.

The manager deflected our complaints to the owners of the restaurant and acted like there was something wrong with us.

Instead of coming here, I strongly recommend the restaurant Kolorowa (north of this restaurant), where the food tastes much better, and they play...

We ate there on a Sunday evening. It's a really crowded and noisy place, as it is on the start of the walking street. We got a table for four immediately, but there could be lines for sitting down because it's a two-storey restaurant with limited number of waiters and they are always on a hurry, you should wait for someone to notice you and listen to you shouting the number of people in your group. Waiters are not good English speakers so probably that's why they look grumpy and have an angry attitude. Our waiter was a cold man with no emotions, but was nice all in all, and it's totally understandable because they rush between the floors with heavy dishes and drinks. I ate veal with home made noodles and mushroom, heavy cream sauce. Big portion, enough for a man with big appetize, but it could be too much for a standard person. All of the foods were like this, so the price wasn't high for such portions. Taste was nice, fair for a dinner in town. Craft beers are not really what I expected, as there weren't much to choose from, not a big sortiment and they are standard, commonly drank beers, not really special if you are a crafthead. To summarize, i would recommend this restaurant if you spend your day in Zakopane and would like to eat something apart from fast food restaurants and if you...

An outstanding family lunch experience—with special recognition to Alexandra! We just had a wonderful meal at Pstrąg Górski while en route to Gubałówka, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The fresh trout dishes were cooked to perfection and served piping hot. The kids loved the portions, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet inviting—perfect for families. What truly made our visit unforgettable was our waitress, Alexandra. Her warm, attentive service and genuine kindness made all the difference. She made thoughtful menu recommendations, checked in at just the right moments without being intrusive, and always wore a smile that you could feel. It’s rare to find someone so professional and personable. We left feeling fully satisfied—not just from the great food, but from the whole dining experience. Thank you, Alexandra and Pstrąg Górski team! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re passing through.

The ribs were cooked with sauce placed on top, but the flavors did not infuse into the meat, making the dish lackluster. In fact, I ended up only eating the onions on top. The haxen was excessively dry, leaving most of it uneaten, while the potato pancakes and salad were passable. Overall, the food was disappointing, and the atmosphere was no better. The noise from the staff, who were chatting and laughing, made it impossible to have a conversation. When I went to settle the bill, a 10% tip was requested, but when I asked, “Is the tip mandatory?” I received no response. Additionally, there was no greeting upon arrival or departure. After reading other reviews, I also noticed an unsettlingly discriminatory attitude toward Asians. I attempted to ask for a takeaway box several times, but the staff were preoccupied with cleaning and failed to acknowledge me. I will not be returning to this establishment.

Pstrąg Górski is always the best place if you want to try the local speciality- trout. It can be grilled or fried, served in many ways, with freshly prepared sauces. We had a grilled fillet in lemon and dill sauce and grilled trout with mustard souce and salads of our choice, baked potatoes with cottage. All was delicious. Be mindful that the price for fish is for 100gr and the final price depends on portion prepared. I am never disappointed by quality of trouts served here, even if it means I have to pay a little bit more. The staff was friendly and helpful, a little advice - polish your English a little bit. The restaurant grows within years, there ate plenty of tables upstairs where is nice and cosy.
