I was riding by on a weekday and noticed they were open for lunch. They had a Portuguese lunch special with pork and it was surprisingly good. They have a new chef and it has really improved the food. I've been back a few more times for lunch and it has been very good each time.

Out back they have tables with umbrellas, a shaded porch with tables, and some inside. In the winter they have a large tent to make the outdoor dining more comfortable. They have a nice lager on draft.

This bar is just outside the gates to Óbidos but it does not feel touristy at all. Laid back, comfortable and casual.

if you're driving you can park at the dusty aqueduct parking lot adjacent or if you're on a bike just ride it in. It was not crowded when I came on a weekday but when they have a band it can get crowded. If you're looking for a casual hangout...

Very disappointing experience - don't let the Prohibition name mislead you into expecting American quality for food or service. In abbreviated fashion - service was nonexistent; missed providing half the starters we ordered; never a chance to order a second drink (I would have liked to try those draft beers), including water, until the meal was done; didn't ask how to prepare the steak so it was overcooked; and the one starter we did receive (pork croq) made us laugh when it was delivered because it was so skimpy.
