Both dishes we ordered were absolutely 5 star! I appreciate that the menu was also in English! The hubs had the Lamb Stew and I had the Chicken Stew which were both HUGE portions baked in a fire oven in clay pots. They were each enough food on their own for both of us! It came with a lovely salad and hand cut fries. We had a feast! Our server was very attentive and friendly and spoke very good English. My husband said it was the best Lamb stew he has ever had! I love this restaurant! It has fantastic food and big portions at a reasonable price. It also caters for all diets and is in a beautiful historic setting. This is one of the few restaurants in Obidos that has options for vegetarians and vegans …. and they aren’t the usual run-of-the-mill options either, we had a fabulous vegan ‘Seitan a Portuguesa’ and a vegetarian ‘Vegetables a Braz’ dish. Una sola palabra describe adecuadamente nuestra experiencia en el local: nefasto. Empezaré hablando de lo bueno. El local estaba casi vacío, así que había silencio y se podía hablar muy cómodamente. A partir de aquí, todo lo que añadiré es malo. Pedimos una ensalada Teriyaki, un arroz con pulpo, un entrecot y un bacalao. También pedimos un plato de carne de cerdo, pero no me acuerdo específicamente. La ensalada, de Teriyaki tenía solo el nombre, porque era una mezcla de lechuga, aguacate (y muy escaso), tomate, mango, pollo a la plancha y salsa alioli, mucha salsa alioli. El arroz, directamente incomible. Pasado y solo sabía a tomate y laurel. Además, el pulpo sabía raro, como si llevara meses en la nevera. El que diga que el arroz de este sitio es bueno, no ha comido un arroz medio decente en la vida, ya no hablemos de uno bueno. El bacalao, el cerdo y el entrecot estaban simplemente pasados por la plancha, así que no estaban del todo malos (el entrecot algo seco). Casi todos los platos venían acompañados de coles de bruselas, zanahoria, coliflor y demás verduras cocidas, como si les acabaran de regalar un cargamento. Tardaron en servirnos cerca de tres cuartos de hora, a pesar de tener el local vacío. Lo peor de todo, es que toda la comida costó cerca de 110€, algo exhorbitado para la mala calidad...
