Horrible experience! Don’t go there if you don’t wanna ruin your vacation.

Yesterday I went there with my husband and baby around 15-16pm and there was not a soul. We didn’t pay attention to it thinking no one eats usually in Europe around that time. My husband and I ordered two different pastas, and for a baby chicken nuggets with French fries. My husband took sea food pasta, and I took vongole pasta. I have a severe allergy to shellfish, but since I ordered vongole, I thought there is no need to mention about this allergy to the waiters.

When they brought food, the sauce of two pastas looked identical! Obviously, my husband had some clams in his pasta as well, but I hoped the kitchen didn’t cook the sauce all together with shrimps, and then just split the ingredients. Pastas were okay. Guess what happened after an hour of eating that pasta? I started having allergy!! I’m breastfeeding mom, and I cannot take strong anti allergy meds, and I’ve been suffering from allergy second day in a row. My holiday is ruined.

You know what funny part is? I called to that restaurant the same evening, and the waiter that talked to me said “yes, probably kitchen used the same pan and the same sauce”. After that he gave his phone to a supervisor, and supervisor started lying nonstop. He even didn’t believe his words. And he didn’t care about my allergy at all, he was just saying “okay” lol. After 10 minutes or so, he is calling me back and said “my colleagues saw the way you were sharing food with your husband”. HOW DARE HE CALLING ME AND ACCUSING ME LIKE THAT??? Almost saying it’s your problem, you ate it yourself loool while I never touched my husband’s plate nor he touched mine, because we both know I have an allergy to shrimps.

The food that we share was our daughter chicken nuggets and French fries. The worst thing that you can order for your kids! They cook those nuggets and French fries in an old ass cheap sunflower oil. I didn’t even wanna give it to my baby, so we ordered a pizza.

I was really looking forward to some pasta and some Italian food. We read the reviews of this place and we were really excited. Upon arrival we felt like the waitress who greeted us wasn’t very welcoming or pleasant, we sat anyway. We then waited 15-20 mins for menus and then another 15-20 for our drinks order to be taken, only to be told that there was an issue with the ice machine and there were no cocktails available only gin and tonics. So I changed and ordered a coke/Pepsi, the waitress arrived with the drinks and I was given a gin and tonic which I did not order, I understand there is a language barrier and that mistakes happen no biggie! But the attitude of the wait staff wasn’t very nice and I felt like I was being awkward and annoying to them. The food was really nice, pasta and and antipasto were lovely although I did ask for Parmesan and I waited with my food sitting there for 10 mins no sign so I carried on and ate anyway, The Parmesan never came. Never once did someone ask how our meal was or ask if we needed a refill on drinks despite other patrons being catered to carefully. Will never go back to this place! Most of the waiters were friendly so this is not a slight on them and the food was very bland, hardly no flavours! The cream based pastas tasted only of cream and the tomato based lasagne and bolognaise tasted of only tomato, it’s an Italian in Portugal so wasn’t expecting too much but did not meet my already low expectations. The main issue however was that we had an awful experience with whom I am assuming is the ‘manager’ as we ordered a hazelnut latte and when it came there was more foam than coffee and it was cold! We advised the waiter who took the drink away. The ‘manager’ then decided to acost us and ask what was wrong with the coffee and explained that because of the syrup the coffee is cold. We explained that we have had syrup in coffee on numerous occasions and they have managed to be warm. The manager advised he can make another coffee but we would need to pay for both! He was aggressive, angry and very rude! The coffee was cold and as a common courtesy as it was still full you would presume it would be replaced! But No!
