Fredi's — Restaurant in Albufeira

Got reeled in by the big screens and good reviews — classic tourist bait. Turns out, unless you’re tipsy enough not to notice, portions here are a gamble.

We ordered wings and a steak. The steak was okay-ish, nothing to write home about. The wings though? Definitely not from chickens — maybe from very stressed-out sparrows. I’ve seen more meat on a toothpick. They were so sad they made us question our life choices.

We mentioned it to the waiter, who nodded like ‘Yeah, those wings suck’ and even said, “What a shame, we really can’t be serving this.” He offered a discount. Sweet, right? Until the bill came: no discount, surprise tip included, and suddenly we’d spent €40+ on what felt like a practical joke.

Last night we went there. Myself and my husband had the steak on stone. It came with 3 sauces bbq, garlic butter and pepper sauce. Also chips. Omg it was delicious. My daughter had the spare ribs 😋, she loved it. Tonight we went back and my husband had cap rump he couldn't fault it he said it was delicious 😋. He had chips, rice and beans with bacon mixed in. I had lamb chops that came with 3 sauces mint, garlic butter and bbq. I got 5 lamb chops on the hot stone. Omg it was to die for. That came with chips. 😋. My daughter got the spare ribs again. We really liked going here the staff were all super energetic, friendly, great with my son making him feel welcome and toying with him even he was asking to go back. It’s on the strip which gets very lively so we were going early evening to watch sports, play pool, eat and drink. Sagres €3!!! Walk 5mtr to another bar €6 so we walked back twice the beer better atmosphere.
