Ok. I have been meaning to come here for a LONG time and finally made the commitment today, Saturday. It is about 20 minutes from us so not too far, especially because we love REAL fish and chips. When we arrived it was exactly what we expected, a cut out bit on a busy British infested Algarvian high street, great! We found a table on the "terrace" and ordered what we came for, plaice and chips. We were informed that there was no plaice, would we like cod or haddock? No problem, bring the haddock. We waited nearly 35 minutes and just as we were getting a bit testy, BOOOOM, the fish and chips arrived. Hallelujah! IT WAS AWESOME!!! Exactly what we hoped for, big fish in authentic batter with home made, fresh cut chips, real malt vinegar and plenty of salt for shakin'! Having lived in England for many years I knew this was the real deal and was completely satisfied, even at 9 euros for the plate. WORTH IT! The best part though was when we requested the bill the server dude, "owner?", comped our cafe as an apology for not having plaice available. Yep, that is how you run a restaurant, subtle but detailed. We will be back. Getcha Some!!! Great product and...

We had the fish and chips , The fish and chips had black spots on it like it came from old oil , both the fish and chips were over cooked , the chips were very crispy ( hard). The fish was so oily . We didnāt feel good afterwards, that feeling you get when you eat over oily food. We sat for a long time before a Portuguese man came over and spoke to us in Portuguese. We said sorry we donāt speak Portuguese and he changed to English. He never smiled and didnāt seem very happy to be serving us. Donāt normally comment but after hearing good and it was such a let down . We live here so might give it one more try . Maybe the chef was having a bad day . Hopefully get a different server next time .

Been there during summer since 23 to 25. Same treatment and niceness.
Burgers are normal although the meat is meh, fried food is impeccable and the lasagna (could be bigger) is good. Breakfasts are good, but could feel a bit more homemade.
Not a tourist trap, owned by a Portuguese and English if not mistaken. We were served by Olga, the nicest Ukrainian in the Algarve, and Lara's mom.
One of the times there was football on, I dont like it, and nobody was watching, only the waiter. But most times its just music.
