I had a 'first time' experience at this McDonald's that genuinely surprised me with its potential, almost making me believe the positive aspects were a mistake! I was incredibly impressed. The location is clearly complying with environmental practices by using only one plastic lid per drink when most others use two, effectively doubling plastic waste – congratulations on this responsible approach! I also finally got the real taste of warm, tasty food I've missed so much, especially the fries, which were absolutely perfect. These positive elements meant this visit could have easily been a beyond perfect score regarding my experience. However, the interaction was unfortunately let down by the employee at the drive-thru. Their voice was barely audible, and they seemed completely indifferent to my order, which unfortunately detracted significantly from the visit. Adding to the frustration, the receipt provided had a blurred QR code for feedback, which unfortunately prevented me from sharing these comments directly through your...
Read moreThe place is always crowded. Its incredble! Seems like people don't know there's a great option 50 mts away. And I mention this because I don't like to be attended by people who speak among them in a different language that I can't understand. I had a problem generating my order in the screen, and when I got to the counter the atenndant charged one euro extra. So I went back to The screen and generated a secnod receipt but this time with The help of a functionary, very gentle guy, and this time the machine generated The receipt with the right price. This gentle functionary went to The cashier and spoke to him In arabic language, and Then the account was right. I didn't feel confortable with this Situation. And this Is the reason why I avoid buying in those shoppings attended by people who don't speak the local language or at least English. In customer service This should be a requirement. The client's issue must be resolved in a language that he understands. It is very uncomfortable.
Slow but that's usual for McDonald's on the Algarve. Having waited several minutes, while a total of three mcflurrys were served, to order coffee and gelato at the mccafe counter the server refused to let me use my non-portugeese credit card. I explained I'd used it no problem in legos and at portimao McDonalds but she woukdnt even let me try. Frustrating waste of time and petrol. The worse experience at a McDonald's in Portugal so far and I'm not proud to admit I've has a few underwhelming McDonald's experiences over the past few days. Whoever is running the show in Portugal is going a poor job. For the record the server did say I could use my credit card at the DIY order displays unfortunately that only allows you to purchase a basic coffee and ice-cream cone neither of which I wanted. No explanation as to why her card reader could not be used just a nod and a shrug and 'this is the way in...
