Olímpico — Restaurant in Albufeira

We have stayed at the Villa Olympic in Acoteias on two separate occassions and have to say that the accomodation was absolutely brilliant, three bedrooms and three bathrooms with one en suite. Excellent swimming pool and 'honesty' bar for all residents.||||The Villas are exceptionally clean and if there are any problems the day manager is on site at all times and actually live there as well which tells you something about how good it is. They are within 5 minutes walk of all the amenities ie shops, bars and restaurants. It is a 30 minute walk to the beach but very pleasant and not too much hard work.||||Taxis are not easy to come by but the Villa will arrange to take you to most local destinations for a small charge and will pick you up as well. This includes the evenings if you want to travel to either Albufeira or Villamoura. They also do the airport run if required.||||The only downside maybe from 2005 they have reduced the size of the Villas which inmy opinion is a big mistake on their part, but as always commercial greed takes over and this would be the only reason we would not go back although i do believe that a couple of the Villas remain three bedroomed.||||Overall though an excellent place and...

The food is very good. The chicken, prawn and beef in the kebabs is amazing, moist and tender. We ate here twice during our stay. Second time we ate seafood rice and hubby had Olímpico Steak. My seafood rice is for 2 people. It could feed 3/4. We took a doggy bag home. There were fresh big prawns, shrimp, mussels, crab and clams. The flavour is unreal. These guys can cook. It is worth the walk from central Olhos de Água. The service is traditional and relaxed.... There is no rushing here.The cocktails cost about €5 (some cost more) and are AMAZING. The crowning glory is they have a swimming pool and baby pool for customers. We stayed after lunch to have more cocktails by the pool on sun loungers. What a fab...
