Planet Italian Resturant — Restaurant in Albufeira

Possibly the worst restaurant I have ever been to ever. Ordered the penne with chicken and cream and questioned if the cooks in the kitchen know anything about cooking. Sauce was incredibly runny and did not stick to the pasta at all, the sauce and pasta had not been cooked together for any time just mixed together warm before served. Chicken completely grey and disgusting with veins and all stringy and chewy, obviously cooked hours before and shoved together at the final minute. Starter came out fine but bacon on the cheese and bacon toast is a stretch but as soon as I had put that down the mains arrived, with absolutely no time in between. Service felt incredibly rushed and also slow as I felt I had to wait ages for a server to come and serve me and my family. Ended up trying a bit of my sister’s pizza which was incredibly soggy felt like a frozen pizza. Tried my mum’s lasagna and the taste of wine in the sauce was incredibly strong like it also hadn’t been cooked enough to enhance all of the flavours as one dish. Absolutely appalling! I’d have been better off with a pot noodle. Don’t waste your time here and go to any of the other millions of italian restaurants...

My friend and I ordered gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnut cream cheese, and fusilli with smoked salmon and asparagus. Unfortunately, the gnocchi tasted as if they had been left in water forever and then covered with cream and parsley. Absolutely disgusting! There was no trace of gorgonzola. On top of that, the fusilli were missing the asparagus.

When we pointed this out to the staff, we were told that the asparagus had been blended into the sauce and was definitely in there. Strange, though, that you could neither see nor taste it… As for the gorgonzola in my gnocchi, I was told it was also in the sauce. I’ve had gorgonzola sauce before, and normally the flavor is very strong and you can also tell by looking at the sauce. After our complaint, I was then given a teaspoon of gorgonzola placed on top of my gnocchi.

This restaurant cannot be outdone in terms of lack of quality...

Just went today after a beautiful day at the beach. My wife had a Salad and I had a pizza "Portuguese Style". I have to say mine was amazing.. and my wife definitely enjoyed her salad. The place is very comfortable.. and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very nice too.. they all looked happy, and smily, which is great to see. The food is excellent.. and the price is not bad at all. We only spent €24 including the drinks (not including the tip though). And the menu is in different languages, such as English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and others I think.. There are lots of options to have something to eat in that little street.. and they...
