The city of albufeira is offering a free tour of the old city with starting point at this statue. You can register for tour that is given in English and Portuguese every Thursday until June 24th 2024. Details on page 18 of their tourist of their agenda magazine available on city website. Tour is very informative but last a couple hours so wear comfortable...
