SHALOM RIBS & WINGS — Restaurant in Albufeira

Be careful when you order "unlimited" mixed portion of ribs and wings order which is on the same page of the menu for unlimited seperate portions of wings and ribs. We ordered an oriental chicken salad (which was OK-basic) and a portion of "unlimited" mixed ribs and wings to share. This came with chips and salad. We spoke to the waitress before (very poor communication and poor english) who said that it is unlimited and we can order that again. However, once she took the order, we then realised she didn't even ask what seasoning we wanted on and had to chase a waiter to say before it was too late. After finishing the first portion of the ribs and wings, we asked for another portion as we thought it was "UNLIMITED/ ALL YOU CAN EAT" . ABSOLUTE SCAM. Once the bill came, we saw we were charged twice for "ALL YOU CAN EAT WINGS & RIBS". I then spoke to the waitress who claimed she "explained it to us" and said its not all you can eat despite it being on the same page as the wings and ribs. BE VERY CAREFUL! We paid an extra €18 euros for another portion of cheap ribs and wings (boiled) which should've been under one tab as its "all you can eat". Oh BTW- CASH ONLY. THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED BEFORE PAYMENT. Left feeling DISSAPOINTED. Not only with the food but with the poor customer service. Writing this review in detail so no one else...

Terrible, giving it a 1 because I cant give it a 0. For starters about 10 minutes after ordering our server came around and informed us that he had forgotten our order and asked us repeat our order, instant red flag and should have walked out. When the garlic bread starter came we were disappointed to find it was just a slice of cheese pre packaged cheese lumped onto a burger bun that was cut in half. When the mains arrived the lasagne was good and chips were nice, however the ribeye which was requested as a medium arrived rare with some parts looking like they hadn't touched the pan at all, absolutely no sear, tasted like it was boiled, no seasoning and didnt even look like a ribeye! the bottomless ribs and wings which were stated as being bbq and buffalo flavoured on the menu arrived as both being bbq. When we requested another drink, our server said of course and then completely disregarded the request and we had to reorder. When it came time for seconds on the bottomless meats we specifically requested for the wings to be buffalo and they arrived as sweet chili, by the 3rd round we had basically given up and left...

I came here because it’s hard to find vegetarian food that isn’t pizza or pasta in Albufeira. I ordered the halloumi salad and bread with “traditional dips”. When the food arrived at my table I thought there was a mistake because the halloumi smelled so strongly of fish. I honestly thought they’d put fish sticks on my salad, so I assume it’s fried (not grilled) in the same oil as their fish dishes. I received one piece of rock-hard pita bread and a tiny dish of olive tapenade; as it was €3.50 I’d been expecting “dips” plural as per the menu but I accept that could be a translation error. Overall it’s a fine idea but the execution needs a lot of improvement.

Edit: Contrary to the management reply, you can see from the photo, my bread was served with ONE dip. There was no tomato dip or aioli or anything not shown. Sounds like management needs to train their kitchen staff properly to ensure all customers receive all components of each dish...
