Avoid it , run away. Ordered mixed cataplania (traditional porugese stew with pork, beef and chicken) waiting for more than 45 mins although restaurant was almost empty. Waiter was practically stupid. Food was completely rubbish. It was thin tasteless, rather soup than stew. The only thing seemed fresh the boiled potato, The place was acceptable ( a little shabby called characteristic) but the food was purely frozen old meat. The chicken was ok, the beef was very dry like wood, and the some pork bites were black/ dark brown inside like kept frozen from last season... And this was the most expensive meal in the restaurant. Fully paid, no discount, no refund not even a complimentary drink. Only 3x sorry. They ruined our evening... We didn't go back to Albufeira old town during our 12days holiday, and I think we never will. I felt those restaurants RIP...

We ordered the cod and the Madeira kebab. Whereas the fish was tasty the kebab which is one of their flagship dishes was sufficiently below average. It was hard to chew and the beef quality was on a very low discounter meat level, probably the worst beef I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The crew was friendly but not very attentive: the waiter asked whether we need ketchup for the meat and I first said no, but then immediately changed my mind which was clearly heard by the waiter and he also told that he will bring it. It never came. I tried to make eye contact but they looked away, even though the place was not really busy and they were standing around half of the time. That was a strange experience, even though they were not rude and even...

Would probably advise to take a miss on this one, we were looking specifically for a Bitoque and a quick search lead us here, the seating is sprawled across a narrow back street into a building and out the other side with the staff seemingly wanting you to sit in the narrow backstreet rather than inside. The service was very poor and the servers had a bad attitude. The food was sub par at best and was missing components, the rice was microwaved and the salad was a bagged one from the supermarket. The only saving factor was that it was really cheap compared to everywhere...
