One of our worst restaurant experiences. The Neapolitan pizzas tasted burnt. The freshly used ingredients (toppings) weren't even tasty on one of the pizzas. The taste was simply awful and inedible. Part of the flavor of a Neapolitan pizza comes from the slight charring, which contributes to the pizza's unique taste. If the pizza tastes burnt, either something is wrong with the process (oven not swept often enough, left in the oven too long, ....) or the oven is set too hot. I've had several Neapolitan pizzas and I've never had to complain about any of them except for this one. Please have a professional explain this to you again and try your products yourself and never tell a guest that a burnt pizza is just like that because it's a Neapolitan pizza. This is wrong. Leopard print in this case dark spots from caramelization are OK and desired, only black spots in the amount, that the pizza just tastes burnt arn't OK, and then the high price for that. The edges of the pizza not rising also show that there are errors in the process. Please do not spend so long arguing with a complaint. Explaining the process once is fine if someone is unfamiliar with it, but escalating the discussion by repeating it is not good of you. The customer is paying and if I don't want to pay €14-16 for a burnt pizza then you have to accept it and not talk nonsense. You are right that the heat leads to rapid caramelisation of the sugar in the dough and a slight charring of the crust. However, these areas should not be mostly black and burnt, but rather dark brown and only in a few places black, usually when blisters form. In my case I know what a proper Neapolitan pizza should taste like. The second point of criticism is the tomato sauce. A tomato sauce must not contain so much liquid that the middle of the pizza is soggy. I have never seen so much liquid on a pizza. Both pizzas had far too much liquid on them. The alternative pasta for my pizza was OK, but the taste wasn't great either. The al dente pasta was OK, the sauce lacked flavor, and the prawns were overcooked. Simply unacceptable for the price. I could have done without the alternative. The goat salad wasn't good value for money either. You should offer your guests a taste experience, especially given the prices, so please try your food and improve it. If you're understaffed, then you need to counteract this or come up with something if that was the reason, as the waiting time was also very long. A good Neapolitan pizza should be a pleasure, and you couldn't...

My friends and I ate here on August 13th, and calling it a disaster would be an understatement. This place claims to serve Italian food, but it couldn't be further from the truth.
The shrimp linguine was a complete mess—more like a lemony soup than a pasta dish. To make it worse, they offered us parmesan to put on it… for a seafood pasta?!
Later that night, two of my friends who had the shrimp linguine got food poisoning. They've been dealing with vomiting and diarrhea ever since.
The pizza dough was undercooked and extremely heavy.
The staff brought the pizza to the table and started cutting it without asking—an odd and intrusive gesture.
When we ordered, we mistakenly asked for the main dish before the starter (we intended to share the starter). The waiter told us we could no longer get the first course as a starter because the main had already been sent to the kitchen. Later they changed their mind and said it was fine—overall, very unprofessional and disorganized service.
The prices are shockingly high for the quality of food and the location.
I honestly don’t understand how this restaurant has such high ratings. It felt like a complete tourist trap. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere...
Read moreI am a Canadian travel agent that has been sending my clients to Albufeira for years, this was my first time actually going to visit! I have this restaurant on my recommendation list for my Portugal travellers. I was travelling with friends and family (13 people) and we drove in from Faro to see old town for the night. I recommended we go to Georgina and it was a super beautiful restaurant. The moment we sat down the service was terrible. We were there Wed May 21st. The young girl server was rolling her eyes constantly. She had a brown ponytail. We asked for the Antipasta tray for the table and she seemed angry and said the dish was "too big" to order. One of the girls in our group is sober and did not order a drink, which she also rolled her eyes. She was visibly unhappy with us, we were the only table in the restaurant and were being respectful. Food and drinks were great!!!! The girl was so unpleasant and I was embarrassed that I have been sending clients here. She didnt seem to want to split our bills either. We Canadians always leave a tip, this was the first place of whole trip that we walked out without tipping our waiter. So dissappointing how mean and annoyed...
