Our recent dining experience at Taberna Vicentina was nothing short of exceptional. We had the pleasure of indulging in Portuguese tapas that left our taste buds delighted and satisfied.

The food at Taberna Vicentina was simply delicious. Each tapa was prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing the authentic flavors of Portugal. From traditional dishes to creative twists on classic recipes, every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The combination of fresh ingredients, flavorful spices, and expert culinary skills made for a truly memorable dining experience.

The ambiance of Taberna Vicentina added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. The cozy and inviting atmosphere created a warm and welcoming setting, perfect for enjoying good food and great company. The restaurant's attention to detail in its decor and lighting contributed to a pleasant and relaxed dining experience.

The staff at Taberna Vicentina were not only attentive and professional but also genuinely friendly and accommodating. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations made us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. Their passion for delivering exceptional service was evident, and their warm hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening.

Overall, our dining experience at Taberna Vicentina was one of the highlights of our time in Albufeira. The delectable Portuguese tapas, inviting ambiance, and the lovely staff all combined to create one of the best dining experiences we've had. We highly recommend Taberna Vicentina to anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure...

The male waiters were polite and hospitable and sat us down in the middle of the restaurant. When you first walk in it looks like a bar with people sat outside drinking and it looked different to the photos that are shown in the photos online (which is the back part of the restaurant). The music was really loud and aweful and where we were sat it was hot near the kitchen, a simple fan would have helped. We ordered our food and the male waiter was friendly and polite he asked if we wanted bread and olives so we said yes, this was brought to us quickly, but a female waitress brought our main food to us. Our baby had been screaming because it was so hot and he couldn't sleep because the music was crazy loud. We asked the female waitress if we could move to a different spot where we could get a breeze, she was so unhelpful with an attitude and told us no. There were tables free that she could have moved us to but she simply didn't care less. The food was all brought at different times and it was put on the table with no explanation of what was what and it was so basic, not cooked badly but lacked any inspiration and flavour. I could have thrown it together better and I'm not a chef. I ended up having to rush my food and go outside with my baby and my partner still didn't have his food. At the end of the overpriced meal, we see that we were charged for the bread and olives. We don't mind paying if we asked for it but we were led to believe it was complimentary. All in all a disappointing experience especially considering that it has...

We decided to try this place after seeing the good reviews, but unfortunately we were very disappointed.

The service was okay, but the food had little to no flavor. We ordered a pork stew, cod, chevre sandwich, potatoes and vegetables.

The cod tasted like it had been defrosted rather than freshly prepared, and the quality was very poor. It was full of bones, which would have been fine if the fish itself hadn’t been so dry – we couldn’t finish it. The vegetables were soggy and unappetizing. The stew was decent, but honestly it’s something we could have made better at home. The chevre sandwich was fine.

We were served bread, olives and cheese before the meal, which was a nice touch, though in hindsight we suspect we may have been charged for it even though we hadn’t asked (as other reviews have also mentioned). The interior was ok inside.

Overall, a very disappointing experience – sadly, we would not recommend this restaurant. We payed 60 euros in total including two glasses of wine and...

What a gem of a place. Visited this evening and had a genuinely authentic Algarvian experience. A warm friendly welcome greeted us into a quirky taverna. Food is tapas style with a good variety of fresh local dishes. We had garlic prawns (which were huge and tasty), Algarvian squid and Pica Poa (pork & pickles stew). All dishes had depth and character. Wine selection also very good. The serving staff were chatty & funny, guiding us through the menu. With food this good you must give it a visit. My only quibble was the TV on in the corner with volume off showing rolling news which distracted my partner facing that way, fine for a daytime bar set up but unnecessary for an evening when the atmosphere of locals eating, drinking and chatting were plenty enough. It's a bit off the main centres so look it up and enjoy local food, well cooked.

Taberna Vicentina is a hidden gem in Albufeira! We came for an early lunch and were immediately impressed by the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. João was incredibly helpful in recommending dishes, and his knowledge of the menu was evident. The food was absolutely fantastic. The green wine was a perfect choice for a hot day, and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The pork with pickles and mustard sauce was a standout dish, and the chorizo was smoky and flavorful. We finished our meal with a delicious port reduction and pear dessert, topped with a creamy vanilla ice cream. The espresso was strong and flavorful, just the way we like it. Overall, Taberna Vicentina is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Portuguese cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to return!

A gem of a restaurant, tucked away in a side street above Old Town. The reviews were great, so my expectations were high and I wasn't disappointed. A simple Portuguese tapas menu. I was tempted by the special, bean stew but I had my heart set on Bacalhau, so I went for this, accompanied by vegetables and a Super Bock. The service was great, both spoke excellent English and were quick, friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant had a mix of tourists and locals out for a spot of lunch. A suggestion to tourists; make this one of your first places to eat out. I am certain you will come back for more. For the locals; if you haven't been here yet, why? Thank you to the chef. The food was prepared and cooked to perfection.
