Wonderful, friendly restaurant, which was a great accidental find. We were looking for a quick bite, at another eaterie, when we happened upon this venue, on the way to the other. My sons fancied the look of the place, rightly stating that it seemed very classy.

We were welcomed in, by the genial and accommodating host, and quickly seated. He engaged us in friendly conversation, while taking our orders, and then left us, to arrange our meals.

My oldest chose steak - as is his wont, and we had told him about the sumptuous steaks to be enjoyed, in Albufeira. My younger son and I went for steak burgers.

Our drinks had barely touched the table, when our burgers arrived - and they were LARGE, indeed, and accompanied by the most delicious thinly sliced crisped potatoes! My older lad’s sirloin arrived shortly thereafter (he is a carnivore and - ugh! - loves it on the medium to rare side). It was well over two inches thick, and filled him, once he had cleared his plate, and this lad has a prodigious appetite. His little brother is almost as bad, and he too was full to the brim, by the time we had all finished.

We each then enjoyed a small and equally delicious dessert, before we settled the very - VERY - reasonable bill, and returned to our hotel, sated.

This was a genuine delight, and a culinary high point of our holiday, in Albufeira, after several years away (and, my, how it’s grown!). So much so, that we intend to take my wife there, for our final evening, in this lovely establishment.

I cannot find a single fault, in the restaurant. It is absolutely delightful, perfect, and caters to its guests as I wish every restaurant would.

I would not hesitate to recommend it to any diner, or food lover, as the perfect place for a quiet, sumptuous, deliciously cooked and beautifully presented meal.

I give it five stars across the...

Me, my family, and my fiancée went for a meal here for my Aunt's 70th birthday.

We had booked the evening before the meal and sent our orders in advance as there was about 25 of us. The restaurant was more than happy to accommodate.

The menu is quite large has plenty of choice for everyone's palate. It could maybe be a little smaller, but it wasn't too difficult to decide what you want. I settled on a starter of Bruschetta with Tomato, Mozzarella, and Basil. For my main I had the Piri Piri Chicken which came with fries and a small side salad.

At the restaurant, we arrived and they had laid out the tables ready for us. The lady serving was very attentive, but not overbearing. She expertly took our drinks orders and brought them out fairly quickly. We then had our starters. The ones who did not order starters were offered bread rolls.

My Bruschetta was toasted to perfection and was very tasty. The garlic butter, tomato, mozzarella, and basil were in good proportion. In addition to the starters, we were also brought tuna paté on croutons which were excellent and fresh olives (my fiancée definitely enjoyed the tuna paté!)

The mains were brought out not too long after the starters were finished. Although some people were waiting quite some time after others had their meals. My main of Chicken Piri Piri was very good, though the chicken was slightly overcooked. However, it was not so overcooked I felt I needed to raise it - it was still very good. My fiancée had the Duck Confit which was excellent.

Throughout the meal, the lady running front of house ensured we all had drinks, brought us bottles of water, and ensured we were all looked after. All of the ladies with us were given flowers by the restaurant as well which was a lovely touch!

This was a fantastic restaurant and I would...

This restaurant was recommended to me and so I walked there (20 mins) with my family (2 adults + 2 kids with buggys) upon arrival the restaurant was not busy with half the tables empty. I was greeted by the female owner who was very rude, took one look at the buggy’s and said they wouldn’t have a table until 1 hour later, although it was half empty. I was really looking forward to a nice meal with my wife and two small kids but this woman ruined it for us. I therefore cannot comment on the food but I would like to let other families with small kids know that this is not a very kids friendly option. I also know of another occasion where this has happened at this restaurant a few days earlier with another family. In response to the restaurants reply, I was not one bit frustrated, just alarmed at the discriminatory behaviour toward family’s with small...

The service and food here was amazing!!! We had the Portuguese steak and the pot of lamb. Both dishes were amazingly cooked and I would highly recommend both as well as the apple pie we had. Personally we don’t think anything was over priced as we got a big portions and the food was beautifully cooked so we were very happy to pay the bill and to leave a tip on top. Like most people we read the reviews before coming and saw plenty of 4 and 5 stars but also a few 1 stars and after reading the 1 star reviews we both agreed we had no clue what they were on about the service here was very welcoming and they helped us pick a dish that suited our taste best as well as explaining to us what exactly we would get. If you’re near the area I recommend this place even if you think it might be on the pricey side as it’s well worth a visit. We will be back again ourselves.

Just love this restaurant. We visited on 22nd September 2023 (and again for a few other nights on our holiday!) We have been back to this restaurant a number of times in previous visits to Albufeira and this visit was equally as good as previous times. It has now become so busy that it is best to book to make sure you get a table. It is a family run traditional Portuguese restaurant and I especially love the lamb chops and my wife is besotted by their monkfish stew. Food is bought fresh which we especially love and is served by a cheery and friendly waiter, Josef. We always get a warm welcome from host and owner Julieta and it feels like we are at home when we eat there. Thoroughly recommend this place although we shouldn’t praise it too much or we wont be able to get a table next time we are there!!!

We had the perfect date night and dinner in that hidden gem. We found the restaurant on Google and it was close to our hotel. We ordered the delicious hot tomato soup and garlic bread as starter. For main I ordered the steak and my partner ordered the salmon - both dishes were very well cooked and flavourful. We couldn't resist ordering the apple Tarte and shared it and it was the perfect ending. service was very friendly and attentive. We also ordered the recommended rose wine and even took a picture as it was very good. We would def. recommend to friends and family and if we are back one day, we will revisit again. Very lovely atmosphere and quite place to have conversations.
