DROP IN BAR — Restaurant in Albufeira

First went to drop in bar over the Easter bank Holiday 2024 on a complete whim it was pissing down so jumped in there and was greeted by the main man joe. We ended up having a good sesh in 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. Joe is a top guy, great barman with a huge heart. Portugals finest. We then recently came back from a 7 night stay and headed straight over to see joe watched the champs league final and the 5vs5 boxing think we walked in at 8pm and left at 4am.....don't ask but it was a great laugh. We honestly haven't had a better pint anywhere in albufeira joes pint of superbok literally is the BEST. TOP MAN JOE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. ITS A MUST...

If you are in Albufeira then you must stop off at the Drop In. You will receive the best hospitality from owner joaquim. For anyone of my era who remembers Cheers this is your home from home while in Portugal. Our third night in Albufeira we celebrated with Joaquim as the Drop In was 1 year old. Joaquim’s father has the restaurant next door and a better meal you’ll not find. It’s not in the centre but it’s well worth the trip and if your slightly out the centre you’ll not want to venture any further than the Drop In. Definitely highly recommended. I like this bar as it is family friendly and not too loud or full of sound people who are out to get drunk and have fun. Its located a little off the old town but if passing it's worth dropping in for a drink as happy hour is all day every day and a beer is a lot cheaper than in the bars down in the old town.
