Food was tasty and made with lots of love and homemade attention . Mother and son combo that are a dynamite duo 💕. Very kind, friendly, warm, and helpful. Everything made fresh to order. Small but cozy space. Very serious on the vegan lifestyle, as evidenced by decor. Reminder: cash only
Takes a long time to make, though, due to tiny kitchen and hardworking chef. For takeaway, we had a bigger order (4 mains, 2 apps +dessert) so naturally, longer wait expected. But in the end, had a missing item, payment asked for after order was ready (we were short some cash, so that further delayed us🥺) and boxes are additional cost. Last point not a big deal, except prices are also higher than typical (fair - uses specialty ingredients).
Overall, worth it for vegans and vegetarians, esp as they specialize in making traditional Portuguese dishes in a vegan way, so if you're visiting the country you can get some idea of...
Read moreHidden gem in Albufeira!! With limited vegan options in the area. This is a pure vegan friendly environment. Nothing to worry about or hesitate with as everything is kept at a high standard. The owner and her son are very professional, caring and very attentive. They were very flexible and knowledgeable when it came to certain restrictions and removing items from dishes that we tend to stay away from. Making it a smooth and easy process knowing that our food was actually being cared for. If there was ever a place that you know your food was being made with love, this is where you want to be. The stroganoff, the tofu dish and the Momi burger were out of this world. Highly recommended. Very flavourful, simple and clean! Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Don't hesitate on the deserts either, you won't regret it. They are light and so enjoyable.
Don't wait until last minute, make this restaurant your...
Read moreVisited this little restaurant/cafe after reading some of the reviews and we weren't disappointed. My partner is vegetarian and we often hunt out little gems like this when we are on holiday. There is a decent sized menu and everything is cooked from scratch, in the kitchen, which is right in front of you. Our food was well worth the wait and was absolutely delicious, all washed down with some homemade ginger tea and a beer.
Monica is a very friendly woman and is more than happy to talk with you about her activism around animal welfare and veganism. We were both very sad to hear about the abuse she receives regarding this, which is making it very hard for her to continue to keep Veggie Momi open. If you are at all interested in trying delicious vegan food, are a vegan or are a supporter of animal rights, I would strongly encourage you to visit and giver Monica all the support...
