Plaza Grill — Restaurant in Aveiro

Seeing the good reviews, my wife and I decided to try this neat little restaurant while in Aveiro. It did not disappoint. The food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. We've found coffee to be kind of hit or miss in Portugal, but found it very good at Plaza Grill and it was nice end to the meal.

We had the fried cod as to try something new (we'd been eating it grilled until this time) and it was very nice. The sides were also very nice and the olives, especially, were very tasty.

My only small complaint is outside the hands of the owner, and that is the outside seating at the neighboring establishment allows smoking. I'd prefer not to have cigarette smoke blown in my face by the wind as I eat, so choose your table wisely. :D

Despite that minor inconvenience, I'd recommend this place...

Reviews do not lie! Absolutely incredible food and service. You can tell the staff and owner have serious pride in what they do. The service was top quality and I had the best squid dinner I think I have ever had. It just melted in my mouth.. and the potatoes were killer! This place at first glance walking by doesn't look special but if you are eating outside you'd think you were eating an extremely high end meal for how good everything was. And the price.. the prices are just as outstanding as the food. I'll stop yammering on so you can just go there right now. Just go right now and eat...

There are couple of notes to write down. First of all, the waiter was very kind. Second, meals were amazing. We went full menu - pore soup was super nice as a starter. Then dorada fish with vegetable and salat and potatoes. Super delicious, crispy on top and tender meat underneath, the best. Last one dessert - home made dulce de leche and egg cream with biscuits. After that coffee or tea on the house. Having two stomachs, we would made another round. Price/portion ratio amazing - 20€ per person for such the meal is mind-blowing. We will be there...
