Casa de Santa Zita — Attraction in Aveiro

Originally built in the mid-19th century as the Palacete Visconde da Granja, the former residence of the Viscount of Granja, this elegant neoclassical building was later donated to the organization Obra de Previdência e Formação de Criadas, dedicated to the welfare and training of domestic workers. Since 1956, it has been known as Casa de Santa Zita. The façade is richly adorned with blue-and-white azulejos, designed by Licínio Pinto and produced by the Fábrica da Fonte Nova. These tile panels artistically depict the four seasons and mythological themes, forming a stunning visual highlight of the structure.
