O Pasto barbecue restaurant — Restaurant in Câmara de Lobos

When I travel, I love to enjoy local food and often look for restaurants, which are mostly visited by local people. Not tourist places.

This restaurant churrascaria "O Pasto" is highly-recommended. Service is very friendly and good. The price is quite fair ( for me, really quite cheap in comparison with rodizo in hamburg/ only half price. And the food is served non-stop .... they do not bring pommes, or cooked vegetables for the guests all the time Iike in Germany - / rice, bean soup and fried vegetables are served on table...all what they bring you..... beef, chicken, pork and sausages -

who loves meat ...it will be the best choice)

Frango piri piri is also very delicous. I enjoyed this grilled chicken at many places in Mainland ( portugal) ..., but I can say that: the style of frango piri piri was so delicious and the decoration was eye-catching ( for those who love spicy chicken)

Visited "o pasto" grillhouse, ordered grilled chicken, salad, soup of the day and grilled codfish. Codfish was disgusting - gummy and tasteless. Soup of the day resembled "cream soup" made from mixed vegerables and was dull (2/10). Salad was repulsive - old carrot slices, old beetroot slices, chopped onion and some tomatoes. And finally, the grilled chicken...... saying that it was salty would be like saying nothing - I think they dumped a mountain of salt on it. P.S Plain water costs almost 4€ there. In summary..... do not go there. Waste of money,...

Absolutely AMAZING experience, that everybody should try! Highly recommend from menu - 10 different meats from “Espada”. You receiving rice with beans and delicious cabbage muxed with bacon 🥓 and then every few minutes you will get different pieces of meat (pork, turkey, chicken, beef) in many versions and in the very end gorgeous pieces of pineapple with cinnamon from charcoal 💕 service is so friendly and nice, prices reasonable and all experience worth every penny!
