Love this healthy, casual eatery right across from the Fruit Market in downtown Caldas da Rhaina.
Menus available in Portuguese, French, Spanish and English.
We came for smoothies one day and came back for brunch the very next day and lunch a few days later.
Phillip was so friendly and personable and answered our menu questions. When we found out we couldn't sit outside due to a broken awning, we asked if we could order it to go, but Phillip offered us the balcony as an alternative. He escorted me upstairs, opened the doors and asked if that would work for us, since I need to dine outside.
Such FABULOUS service and we enjoyed our drinks and food. The second visit was for brunch, so I had the chicken with avocado and egg bowl. So tasty with pickled cabbage. He had the avocado eggs Benedict and they were so good as well. The Sangria was a fun addition to our brunch.
The juices and smoothies are made fresh to order. We especially love the Detox Smoothie with cinnamon.
We returned one more time for lunch outside and I had a salad and he had a chicken wrap served with veggies and house-made hummus.
We will definitely return on our next visit. Five stars for service, food and...
Read moreThis place is adorable and the healthy food is always good. I also enjoy the fact that this place is seemingly always open when I want to eat, and I don't feel like I need to leave because they are closing for the afternoon. The food is fresh and delicious, I was ecstatic to find a piece of apple pie American Style. The crust is more to my liking than the usual American type. It's more of a cake type? I guess you'd have to judge for yourself, so get there and try it! It's super delicious and not overly sweet. I don't know why the colors in the photo look gold, the pie is not a strange color. There's an upstairs area where you can go if it's too crowded outside or on the lower level. I like it the restrooms are clean also. Service can be a little slow and sometimes I have sat at my table for longer than I prefer, but I did mention there's...
Read moreWe were in Caldas very early for an appointment and decided to have breakfast at Citus. After sitting 15 minutes, we went in to ask if their was service, no, you must pick up your menu and order at the counter, okay. My husband ordered the English Breakfast, I the avocado toast with scrambled eggs. My husbands meal was cold, eggs cold and toast plain, a single bacon slice a couple tablespoons of baked beans, cold rubber eggs. My toast was a single slice, cold, dry, no butter and small - no larger than my fist, 3 thin avocado slices with a couple spoonfuls cold eggs on top. I regretted that we even stayed on after waiting for anybody to welcome us. Hopeless lack of service, expensive, felt like a waste of money. We have lived in the greater Caldas area...
