Lovely setting with an atmosphere that draws you in. Most dishes impressed, though a few missed the mark. The eel nigiri was slightly mushy, and some rolls arrived a bit out of shape. The service, while polite, could be warmer and more attentive. With such a large menu, thoughtful recommendations would make the experience smoother for guests lingering over their choices. For this price point, details matter: bouncing tables and napkins that feel past their prime are out of place. Thankfully, the meal ended on a high note: their chocolate fondant is outstanding, rich and perfectly executed, easily justifying its place on the menu. Overall, an upscale sushi spot in Cascais with strong potential, but the service and finer details could use more polish to truly match the setting and its good reputation.

Great food but the service was very sporadic. We where a table of 10 (which is know can be tricky) and 6 drinks came after a reasonable wait but the other 4 came over an hour after that. Same with some of the food, we had huge waits between receiving some dishes and the next ones when they had all been ordered at the same time. We had 2 dishes still didn’t arrive till over 2 hrs after ordering so we cancelled them in the end as they still hadn’t been started. The staff when they did come over were very efficient and friendly, so I would like to think that this is not the fault of bad people but more likely due being under staffed.

The best, and my favorite Japanese restaurant in Portugal, I have been dinning out and experience fine dinning restaurants for as long as i can remember. This isn’t my fist visit here, although it’s obvious that one of their main priority apart from giving the audience alluring presentation, is to have fresh fish and foods, which they have always Succeeded. The staff are also very welcoming. These are my favorite dishes: You can find more dishes of this restaurant on my Instagram; travel101_zoe

I recently dined at Confraria Sushi Cascais, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The food was downright appalling. I ordered the fish dish, and what arrived resembled something that had been reheated in a microwave one too many times. The carrot fries was dry and tasteless, as if it had been cooked hours before and left to wither away under a heat lamp. The vegetables on the side were soggy and lacked any semblance of freshness. And don't even get me started on the presentation – it looked like a messy pile thrown onto a plate without any care or consideration.

To add insult to injury, the service was abysmal. The restaurant waiter seemed more interested in chatting with his colleagues than attending to our needs. It took ages for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was clear that no effort had been put into preparing it.

This restaurant all employees, do not understand English, and all employees can not speak English as well. They speak always Brazil's Portuguese language. This was disgusting.

Overall, I would not recommend dining at Confraria Sushi Cascais. The food is subpar, the service is lacking, and you'd be better off spending your...

I know from previous visits that the food is very good. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the service. As we were travelling in Cascais again, this time with our dog, we called the day before and asked if we could come for lunch with our dog. We were told that we would have to sit on the terrace, which was no problem for us. When we arrived at the restaurant at around 2pm, the waitress told us that we could sit at the far end of the terrace, but that the dog would have to stay behind the wall on the neighbouring property, as other guests might feel disturbed. It was only 14 degrees Celsius that day and the table in question was outside, in the chilly shade. Not a single guest was sitting there, those who were sitting on the terrace had taken a seat at the other end, in the sun. Informing us by telephone that a visit with a dog was not a problem and then demanding that the dog be "deposited" on the neighbouring property out of our reach was not only disrespectful to us, but also to the owner of the neighbouring property. We then looked for another restaurant with...

The restaurant is overall nothing more than average for the price (~€52 per person).

The atmosphere is the nicest thing in the restaurant, with dim lighting and vegetation. However, as soon as you sit down, they practically mock you by bringing carrots in ice with beetroot sauce as a starter, which sounds a lot better than it actually is. Moreover, the music was awfully loud.

The food is average, nothing special. However, the tuna belly served was the worst I ever tasted. Moreover, keep in mind that this is a fusion sushi restaurant, not a traditional one.

The service, however, is terrible: slow, unreliable, and impolite. When we tried telling the waitress, very politely, that the tuna belly was bad… well, she laughed at us and argued that it was the most expensive fish piece they have in the menu. Such a shame that they can’t even make it good while...
