We come often to Bullguer Cascais for lunch, and always receive great service and great food. We usually have the Stencil (me) and the Bullguer (my wife), paired with their crinkle-cut fries and their version of Florida's "Arnold Palmer" (ice tea and lemonade), which they call 50/50. Last time we went there I ordered the strawberry shake, and it was delicious. Not overly sweet and super cold. We certainly recommend, as a sweet touch after a nice burger. Their burger sauce reminds me of BurgerFi in Florida and In-n-Out's "spread" for those on the West coast. You can ask for extra sauce on the side, if, like me, you like your burger swimming in sauce. Their crinkle cut fries are very much like the ones from Shake Shack. If you're not into their paprika-based spiced salt, which again reminds me of Red Robin's, you can order them with just plain table salt. The first time I went to Bullguer I also ordered the hot dog. It was pretty honest and satisfactory, but I'm biased towards Gray's Papaya's, Nathan's and Costco hot dogs, in that order, so Bullguer's joins the rest of the pack on a 4th-and-beyond place. Overall, we have always enjoyed our visits there, and it's starting to...

this place is the real deal guys! I ordered a Super and the Crinkles and my gf the Lumberjack, Cheese Fries and a Berry Lemonade. The burgers were done just right, super juicy and satisfying. It was hands down one of the top 5 best burgers I ever had. The fries with their amazing seasoning are a clear 9/10. They were crispy and just perfect on the inside, which lets be real, is the most important part. I just personally prefer them extremely crispy, so that's why -1. The berry lemonade was so chuck full of real fruit, that you couldn't even use a straw. and it tasted amazing. however, here are 2 honest caviats: first, the cheese sauce on the fries was very thin and runny. it didn't stick to the fries, which made it hard to taste the cheese. but the manager/owner promised this was a temporary glitch, gave us 2 portions of cheese sauce and even offered extra fries (which we didn't take). And secondly, my gf said she expects bacon slices on burgers to be fried crispy brown, but this was more on the pinkish side. However, I had the same and I loved it just the way it was. just a matter of expectations I guess. overall, clear...

Very friendly staff and that's mainly it. The food wasn't good considering cost.

I'm not sure why so many people call it the best burger ever. It was a burger and it tasted ok but nothing special at all except they embossed the restaurant name on the bun.

In terms of flavor, I found nothing out of the ordinary except the beef patty is thicker than McDonalds and it contains a lot of sauce...

The chicks burger, on the other hand, was terrible! For some reason I thought it would be a chicken FILLET and not a ground chicken patty! But it turned out to be a chicken patty fried in some batter. Not good at all! I read other reviews where it was a chicken fillet. I guess they resorted to cost cutting measures. And the quality suffers.

The cashier also asked if I wanted that ground chicken burger medium or well done. Do people in Portugal actually eat medium done chicken???

Not sure what all the fuss was about considering the burgers aren't cheap either. And it doesn't come with fries or a drink.

Not recommended. Plenty of other restaurants for...

Best drool-worthy, food coma inducing burgers and crinkle fries! After a quick Google search for food that the kids fancied we stumbled upon Bullguer on Google maps. When we arrived around 2pm it was empty, staff were exceeding friendly (also spoke English) and we're helpful. The menus are in English and Portuguese and the prices are really reasonable. This place has everything you crave, from single or double burgers, gherkins, melted cheese (delicious sauce) and quality meat. The kids voted this the best (Bullguer) burger and crinkle fries they've ever had. We also had fries with paprika, which was just yum. Really wanted to try the cheesy fries as they looked really good too. It's a small venue with a few tables outside but if you're waiting for a table, it's worth it! Apparently this place is heaving in the evening, which does not surprise me at all. All in all, what they've created here is heaven in a bun! Thanks for a delightful and scrumptious meal! (I'm afraid the photos don't do the food any justice, the kids were hungry!)

In the more modest and globally inspired commercial part of central Cascais, behind a hotel and under a walkover, this fastfood burger bar has such decoration, such ambiance noise, such menu and perhaps a slightly slower service, but then they have a very strong beer menu with both international draft quality brands and micro brewery bottles, so the target, positioning and location suddenly becomes clear. We were two for an afternoon snack and chose two lemonades, a good burger, a surprisingly tasty Fisherman (which may even be a fresh bacalhau fillet!!), two different fries from frozen potatoes (unfortunately the cookie was sold out) for €19/ pax, which appears overpriced for the small servings, but then again we were not there for the beer.
