In the heart of Cascais Market, Local - Your Healthy Kitchen emerges as a beacon for those seeking a meal that's both wholesome and indulgent. This culinary haven marries the concept of food for all with the ethos of health, offering a menu that's as diverse as it is delicious.
The Salmon Poke stands out as a testament to Local's commitment to freshness. Each bowl is a symphony of flavors, with succulent pieces of salmon that melt in your mouth, paired with avocado and perfectly cooked rice. It's a dish that not only satisfies your hunger but also your body's need for nourishment.
Equally impressive are the Tacos de Camarão, a playful twist on a Mexican classic. The shrimp are seasoned to perfection, bringing a burst of flavor with each bite, nestled in soft tortillas that are just the right amount of chewy. It's a dish that will transport you to the sunny coasts of Mexico with its vibrant flavors.
For the plant-based diner, Local doesn't disappoint. The array of vegan dishes is a testament to the kitchen's creativity, ensuring that everyone at the table can enjoy a meal tailored to their preferences. From hearty salads to innovative mains, the vegan options are far from an afterthought.
While the food is undeniably tasty, some may find the use of fats to be a bit generous. However, this is a small caveat in an otherwise good dining experience. The fats used are of high quality, and in moderation, they contribute to the rich taste that makes Local's dishes so memorable.
In conclusion, Local - Your Healthy Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a meal that's fast, flavorful, and mindful of health. Whether you're craving the ocean-fresh taste of salmon poke or the hearty warmth of vegan fare, Local ensures that every bite is a celebration of good food and...
Read moreThis place has a decent menu for vegans and overall the food was good. Ordering is all through an online menu that you access by scanning a QR code. Descriptions could be better. For instance the mango sorbet was not clearly marked. I mistaking picked the wrong sorbet and asked nicely if I could return it for the Mango. They refused and said I would have to pay for both. I’m writing this review so you all know that the wholesale cost of a scoop of sorbet is more important to these owners than the satisfaction of their customers. The “outside” seating is not outside. It is connected with a bunch of restaurants under a permanent tent like structure. Air is stuffy. I’ve been vegan for the past 27 years and almost all vegan friendly restaurants have provided excellent service, knew their menus well and wanted to provide the best experience to their customers. Whenever management of a restaurant reveals that the satisfaction of their customers is not a priority, I find it important to report that to all that may visit. My family’s roots are in the restaurant business and my grandfather always emphasized the importance of customer satisfaction as that creates a return customer and return customers always refer others. Obviously I will not return and will not refer anyone...
Read moreA total waste of money! Tasteless, over priced and not worth it. We had a breakfast bowl, an avocado toast and pink pancakes, cappuccinos. The bowl was ridiculously tiny as you can see on the pics, no sauce, no veggies, nothing to eat the guacamole with (which was tasteless and too acidic). Is this even really a bowl? The avo toast looked great (not in the pics) but had no flavor whatsoever. The pancakes were super dense and stuffing, we didn’t eat it all. Look at the dry as hell nut butter on it. We had the worst cappuccinos ever, they were as big as lattes and tasted like hot water. Not mentioning the 1 medjool date with almond butter for 2.2€ I paid 35€ and it was really painful!!! We were incredibly disappointed, we were looking forward to try this place as we eat healthy and vegan. What a waste of money! I own a healthy vegan coffee shop and I know how to please my clients with good fresh food that HAS taste and volume! We talked to the waiter who was very sorry for us and understanding. Service was great. I wish the owner sees this comment and do something. We are planning to move in Cascais and are definitely never...
