Beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean, with a fancy steakhouse fibe. Servers were all incredibly attentive, picking up my infant son's toys when he dropped them and amusing him with funny faces.
Mains are all very reasonably priced between €15-20. My husband had a beautiful tenderloin steak in peppercorn sauce on a bed of sauteed veggies and with a side of scalloped potatoes, all for under €20. I ordered the picanha and was originally quite disappointed with what appeared on my plate - four very thin (almost carpaccio-thin) slices of meat, well-done when I had ordered medium rare. I honestly felt that I could have gotten a more generous portion of picanha for a more reasonable price from an AYCE Brazilian rodizio place. However, the servers immediately noticed something was wrong, insisted on knowing what it was, and immediately brought me two more slices of medium-rare meat.
So go for the atmosphere, amazing service, and the steaks. Maybe avoid the grilled meats if you are looking for more food. Only other negative point is that the bathroom was small and...
Read moreWe visited as a party of eight and had an outstanding experience at Os Prazeres da Carne. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making sure our group was comfortable and well looked after throughout the evening.
The highlight was, without question, the steaks. Every single one was cooked to perfection — juicy, full of flavour, and melt-in-the-mouth tender. Even the fat was rendered down to a butter-soft texture, adding incredible richness to each bite. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft and the quality of the meat speaks for itself.
The accompaniments and drinks matched the standard of the food, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed but full of energy, making it ideal for both special occasions and casual dining. Everyone in our group agreed it was one of the best steak experiences we’ve ever had, and we’ll be talking about it for a long time.
Highly recommended for anyone who truly appreciates great steak and...
Read moreWent on a wednesday evening...foggy night so we missed the beautiful view that most reviews rave about. All focus was indoors and in the food. Both were quite disappointing. After 4 days in portugal, I am spoiled. This is nothing like what we found in Lisbon or even Fatima! The restaurant looks improvised, a freezer blocking the entrance, some tired halloween style candles on a sideboard, a boombox with red, blue and green light shining....meat and sausage were old and cold. Probably cooked from lunch and partially reheated. Really needs some attention and investment. I am shocked at so many good reviews....This is NOTHING like one expects of portuguese...
