Restaurante Dom Pedro — Restaurant in Coimbra

Very nice restaurant. The boss is super friendly and speaks French fluently (in case you are French). The wine was very good, the cheese was tasty, the olives tender. The Chanfana was excellent and there a lot to eat for one person. It came with boiled carrots, potatoes and cabbage which was nice because the meat is quite heavy. As desert I got the apple pie- very good as well. It is not overpriced as in the town Center....

A really good surprise. In a cute cave, this restaurant is decorated in the classic Portuguese tradition. The waiters suggestions are on point, as much as their good vibe The dishes are good and generous. The staff is kind and comprehensive In conclusion as a family where nobody likes the same things we ate good ! We recommend it to anyone coming by the side of the river in Coimbra, you won’t be disappointed...

Paulo gave us excellent service despite needing to serve a huge pre-booked group which my partner and I truly appreciated!

Despite it being summer, they made an exception to serve us seafood rice (their usual octopus rice is a winter dish)
