Pensao Flor de Coimbra is not big and fancy but it's tough to find fault anywhere. The owners are generous, kind and helpful beyond all reasonable expectations. Twice I was invited to the sitting room and offered generous glasses of tawny port (with the bottle left behind to help myself) accompanied by bowls of nuts. As I was staying for several days, the owner also suggested I help myself to the full use of the kitchen facilities and refrigerator. The washroom and bedding were scrupulously clean. My only unfulfilled wish was a comfortable sitting chair and a reading lamp to use inside the room before I hit the sack for the night. If the weather permits, as you head out, you see the taxi stand, turn to your right and walk all the way straight down till you reach a junction where you see incoming vehicles going towards the opposite directions.
