Pensão Flôr de Coimbra — Hotel in Coimbra

Pensao Flor de Coimbra is not big and fancy but it's tough to find fault anywhere. The owners are generous, kind and helpful beyond all reasonable expectations. Twice I was invited to the sitting room and offered generous glasses of tawny port (with the bottle left behind to help myself) accompanied by bowls of nuts. As I was staying for several days, the owner also suggested I help myself to the full use of the kitchen facilities and refrigerator. The washroom and bedding were scrupulously clean. My only unfulfilled wish was a comfortable sitting chair and a reading lamp to use inside the room before I hit the sack for the night. I might have also wished for a little more vanity space in the washroom but, given the eminently reasonable price per night, that wish is probably better characterized as nit-picking.||||Highly recommended particularly for young, low need couples or...

Location of the hotel: from Rede Espresso, you can take taxi for €5. If the weather permits, as you head out, you see the taxi stand, turn to your right and walk all the way straight down till you reach a junction where you see incoming vehicles going towards the opposite directions. You can see small alley... you can see the hotel. ||Location: close to the centre and attractions. Walking distance. You have got you stay here when in Coimbra! Jorge & Maria are the best hosts with an incredibly historic family property...they've had it over 200 years! It's in a great location. Quiet side street, easy to find, close to everything, squeaky clean, kitchen access, balcony access over quaint street....I could go on & on! We stayed 3 nights.
