Unfortunately, a disappointing restaurant experience – not recommended

We are currently staying at the hotel and want to emphasize: the hotel itself is excellent – friendly, clean, and well-organized. We’re glad the restaurant can be reviewed separately, as anything else would be unfair to the hotel.

Our visit to the restaurant, however, was a real letdown. We were a group of four, looking forward to a nice dinner to end a beautiful day. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen: after 90 minutes (!) three out of four meals arrived. One of them – a burger – was cold. Another came without the salad and side dish, which were served 20 minutes later. The fourth meal never arrived at all.

The whole process was chaotic. We understand when staff are new and still being trained – but when one of them is clearly lost, keeps asking questions but then doesn’t pass the information on, something is seriously wrong. We waited more than 15 minutes for the bill, even though only five tables were occupied and there were two staff members working – a manageable situation.

The Caipirinha was basically a glass full of ice cubes and tasted nothing like a cocktail. To top it off, the waiter had the nerve to say, “I hope you enjoyed your dinner.” Honestly, that just felt like mockery.

In summary: a real shame for what was supposed to be a nice evening. The staff were inattentive, one meal was completely forgotten, others were delayed or incomplete, and the wait times were unacceptable. We truly wish the friendly and efficient reception staff were running the restaurant – they would have left a much better impression.
