As an Asian, I believe this restaurant had blown my mind in a bad way. We wait outside of the restaurant, no reception, no one came out to serve, pretended not seeing us. After few mins, a lady staff looked at us and pointed to one of the table and yelled in Portugal, I guessed she told us to wait for that table to leave. After 10 mins, we can finally sat down but the nightmare just began. After sitting down, no one serve us at all, no staff came n took our orders for 30 mins. We waited n waited, watching one staff running in n out without doing actual thing, pretend to be busy, keep washing dishes with a serious face. After 45 mins, we finally got one coke, and after 50 mins we got the tea. After an hour, we got spring roll which was terribly oily, thank god it’s super small portion. The deep fried wan ton, super oily, no shrimp, no favour. The fried noodles, oily n salty with only few pieces of pork. The spicy squid, sizzling shrimp and the orange duck, so sad they wasted the good food materials and presented everything in a very wrong way. One master Chinese chef once said to test a restaurant good or not, try their fried rice. We did, and it’s wrong, no favour, no egg but with carrots, no wok hay. I hope no one think this is the style of Chinese or any Asian restaurant does. Btw, unprofessional service was the worst, no service, leave the guests there waiting for nothing, not training the new staff n just put on a black face. I wonder how come this restaurant got...
Read moreI was fully prepared to be disappointed as I always am when I eat Chinese food outside of the Far East or the UK. However I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty my food was. There were slight variations to what I'm used to with each dish that I ordered but this didn't stop the dishes tasting good. The spring rolls reminded me of chop suey rolls that I used to eat as a child in the UK....they were absolutely delicious! I would return just for those alone! And every dish we ordered, was still nice and hot when it arrived.
Other reviewers have commented on the wait between courses. We, too, had to wait quite a while between course but we could see how small the kitchen was and there's only one chef. At one point in the evening, 9 tables out of 12 were occupied with one of those tables having 4 diners. I don't know how the chef managed to get all the 4 different meals on the table within 5 minutes of each other! He must move like Usein Bolt! The whole 1.5hrs we were there, the chef and other 3 staff didn't stop. It's obviously a small family-run restaurant and they have alot of repeat customers as they seemed to know quite alot of them. I would happily return and order an extra portion or three of their spring rollls. So far, this has been the best Chinese restaurant i've eaten in outside of the Far...
Read moreOverall = AVOID: Probably the WORST Chinese I've had and wouldn't even put it past the worst food I've had both abroad or in England.
Service = 1/5: The 1 waiter was so intense I thought I was in a boxing weigh in, plus he was about as abrasive as it gets. Awful service, snatching things off your table and no manners.
Food = 1/5: AVOID the soup, I got the chicken soup and it was a struggle to hold it in, also looked like something out of a medieval peasents trough, Absolutely awful. The duck was okay but the pancakes were cold and like eating raw dough. The chow mein was tasteless. Got the wrong order aswell as instead of chicken and curry rice and egg rice they gave us 2x plain rice. Overcharged us for 3 beers instead of 2. The dips were greasy and horid.
Also, had to wait an hour for 1 bowl of soup and then another 30 minutes for the world's most underwhelming meal.
I urge you not to go, do not waste your money on this place and if you do go despite reading this:...
