WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE 0/5 stars. We are a group of 5 visiting from overseas. After a day of hiking and walking around the beautiful Maderia Island. We came across this restaurant in Funchal on a Saturday night. The staff (yes singular) seated our group inside the restaurant. As the sole server, we understood that the establishment was busy with another group and waited to be served. Fifteen minutes passed before our group was asked what we wanted to order. Four of us ordered the set meals with the soup, and fish/meat entree. We received our meal after ONE HOUR of waiting. The soup was bland and lacked flavour. The steak and mushroom combo that I received was tough and chewy, but the worse part, was it was partly RAW (photo attached)! My friends' tuna steaks were tough and rubbery in texture. First, the service was very very slow. We were seated for 15 minutes before the server took our orders. We then had to wait an hour for the food to come.
Second, when the food came, the tuna I order was so dry I had to drink water with every bite. As well, the tomato slice they served was rotten in the corner.
Third, my friend ordered a steak with mushroom sauce. The steak was COMPLETELY RAW in the middle. It wasn't edible (unlike medium rare steak, which is). When he told the waitress, she argued with him and left a bad taste in our mouth, similar to the food here.
Lastly, another friend ordered the scabbard fish, which was not great at all. It was below average. It was still edible though.
Overall, I do not recommend eating here at all. Do yourself a favor and eat...
Read moreThis was our 4th time restaurant on Madeira but the only dissappointment. Waited 40 minutes for our meal, they completely have forgotten us, I had to call the waiter what is happening. After this they’ve forgotten our apetizer. The Spaghetti was dry lack of any “fantasy”, the Christmas Pork was very small portion and looked more like any picado I tryed before here, it was dry, bit burnt, and I don’t want to be too evil, but it wasn’t marinated in white wine it had a few drops of vinegar I think.
