Green Bistrot — Restaurant in Guimarães

Wow! Get outside the historic city center, wander down some fun side streets and relax and enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal here. My sister and I stopped for dinner on our way back from the cable car. The dinner menu is a set meal to minimize food waste. Don't be deterred by this. It is a wonderful idea. The chef/owner came out to chat and to quiz us a little about our taste preferences. The flavors were outstanding! The atmosphere is quiet, casual, and relaxed. We went back the next morning for breakfast. Who knew avocado toast could be so delicious. If this were located in the historic center, you wouldn't be able to get a seat. Outstanding!!

Wow, what an amazing restaurant, people, and food! It was an amazing experience..the food is healthy, rich in vegetables (not like in other vegetarian/vegan restaurants where the choices go from vegan burger to vegan pizza), and super yummy. The prices are really good for what you get and I honor it a lot that they don't raise the prices despite theoretically being able to do so based on the quality. The waitress who served my table was such a kind and sweet human being (Natalie) and made me feel extremely comfortable! She put a smile on my face for that day. The owners (I suppose) where also extremely attentive and I overall had just a really good and YUMMY...

We had an amazing evening. First of all a super cozy restaurant where you feel at home from the second you enter. Amazing service and such a warm welcome. The food is made with so much love and you taste the pure ingredients. The guacamole is amazing. Also the risotto was excellent. The chocolate cake was the best and the mango cake was also superb. What also surprise me that’s it’s such an amazing value for money. But what really made the evening was the connection with the owners and their warmt.
